Streetfighter 2" and the Valance Situation
The Sunday Herald Sun talked to a source close to Holly Valance about the whole "Streetfighter 2" situation. A little over a week ago, the buzz-mill went into overdrive with rumours that Valance was set to star in the sequel opposite Jean Claude Van Damme. "Holly has not even met Jean-Claude", a well-placed source told the paper. "The story is out of control. They have never met. She is not in talks with anyone about Streetfighter 2, although she may one day move into films". She's never been in the one room with Van Damme apparently. "The closest Holly has come to having anything to do with Jean Claude was when her boyfriend, Pete, was working out at a Gym in LA and he was there. Holly was in a recording studio working on her next album and Pete went to the gym. When he was leaving he had trouble starting his hire car". Jean-Claude and friends helped out.

Valance not Streetfighting
The Daily Telegraph newspaper is debunking reports [started by The Herald Sun] that singer Holly Valance is in talks to join "Streetfighter 2", opposite Jean Claude Van Damme. The newspaper got in in touch with Valance's representative in London to get to the bottom of it and received the rather blunt response: "Completely untrue". Unfortunately news about the movie happening is still - as far we know - true.

Van Damme and Valance for "Streetfighter 2"
Obviously hoping to save his dying career, action-man Jean Claude Van Damme has struck a deal to star in a sequel to his 1994 flick "Streetfighter", based on the video game of the same name. Australian singer, Holly Valance, has been in talks with Van Damme this week about co-starring in the movie. She would replace fellow singer, Kylie Minogue, who starred in the original. Van Damme is said to have been impressed by Valance - who can apparently kickbox - but according to The Herald Sun the filmmmakers will still be auditioning other actors up until the last minute.
