Valve have just announced that Half-Life 2 will be shown at this years E3.
It will also be coming out this year.

I hope it lives up to the original.

hmm.. does this mean a new counterstrike 2 mod?

most likely...strike force for UT was a really popular mod and now its under ddevelopment for UT2K3...plus if everyone who buys HL2 wont be playing regular HL mods anymore...then they wont ahve any players anymore

I think that Counter Strike: CZ will be released far before Half-Life 2, the PC release date hasn't even been mentioned yet.

I bet both of them will be out before Duke Nukem Forever though

I dont realy Like FPS, but Half life 2 and Doom 3

uhh more like a endless torrent of First Person Shooter games. When will developers make something else for a change?!

I hope they're updating the graphics engine for HL2. I really wouldn't doubt that they would stick with the old one just to piss everyone off.

It used bits from both the Quake and Quake 2 engines and Valve added a load of new stuff themselves.

I hope they're updating the graphics engine for HL2. I really wouldn't doubt that they would stick with the old one just to piss everyone off.

I just read that it looks almost as good as the Doom 3 engine, but runs on much lower spec machines. :eek2:
(could be lies of course)

im curious as to what engine it will use though, is it a modified ID one, or their own?

heh it´s a whole new engine, it´ll be on e3, these are facts the rest is especulation.

We'll be waiting forever on that game.
They've been working on Duke Nukem Forever since '98!

but it WILL be out until 2004, rumours says it´ll be released this christmas, but who knows .

im guessin you scanned it outta a magazine considering the quality...still dont look too bad though...i just hope they don't ruin it
