it's an arcade emulator from namco's 12, if im not mistaken the ps2 and this arcade board are somewhat similar.

FYI's.. It's the Zinc emulator, which currently emulates system 11 and Capcom Zn-1 and Zn-2 arcade hardware.. Find the current version at www.emuhype.com ..

Those shots are from a WIP zinc version.. Suffice to say, I can't wait for a release.. I'm not much of a tekken fan, but it'd be cool to play the arcade version emulated nonetheless..

Actually, the system 12 arcade system isn't as high end as say a Ps2 or Naomi.. It's just a suped up system 11.. A little more power that's all.. Similar in architecture to the PSX1..

Why can't they start on cps-3 or naomi, why i ask?! Ehh system 12 will do for now. And Zinc needs to get a damn better gui! All the options and tools we need to do through frontends......sigh

Call me when they get a Dreamcast emulator far enough along that I can play the DC version of Soul Calibur. It's so much better than the arcade.

Well Icarus is coming along really well lately. And BTW: What games are on that cps-3 that Dark Zero is talking about? Yup cant wait to see games of this running in full compatibility.

Cps-3 is capcom games, such as Street Fighter 3, Red Earth (i thinks thats the name), JoJo's Bizarre adventure, etc.

Soul Calibur runs on Icarus already but it doesnt look perfect in any of the gfx plugins *yet*

Actually, there was an arcade version of SC that ran on the naomi arcade hardware, not system 12.. Very few were released in Japan.. None that I know of were released in the US..

Here is wip Soul Calibur using Sonic's plugin.. (different to the one used for other recent Icarus pics). These were taken by Sonic so I dont know what comp spec they were taken on.
