hey there

I just finished lufia II yesterday when i didnt quite understand the ending.

they died right? why is everyone claiming that they will return back?

Hope someone clears this point for me. on a side note, that game has one of the best gameplays and music i ever seen for an RPG

Yours,

Just taking a wild guess here, but I assume they're talking about how they're kami/spirits now and will now be with their friends and child forever, giving them strength in good times and bad, even though what they were no longer exists.

Actually Lufia 1 starts 400 years after Lufia 2. WHile 1 teoreticly is 2 and 2 is 1. Lufia 1 is Maxims grand grand grand grand grand and so on, son. It begins with a little resume of what happend in the end of lufia 2 and then begins its own story.
Everything will be explained in Lufia 1

Yeah but the ending images that appear after the words "the end" in Lufia II are the ones on which Lufia I starts...

BTW did anyone knows how to open the sealed door on the final part of the game (the part where Maxim has to destroy the crystals) ?
There's a wall with a door similar to the ones you opened but you can't do anything with it... any ideas ?

There is no way. Maybe there was going to be something that was planned to be there or maybe it was always going to be just a way to annoy people, but that door is impossible to open either way.

I started playing Lufia I yesterday and yes, its a sequel to the Lufia II ( although its was released 3 years before)> I also have in my hand Lufia3 on GameBoy ( released on 2001). It crappy considering the SNES versions, but i guess I ll force myself to play it this time :p
Thanks for your replies :)

are you sure about that? I thought it takes place after 100 years

Indeed, in Lufia I they say it's 100 years after Rise of the Sinistrals. The main char is the direct descendant of Maxim (that'd be Jeros)... in any case does that mean that the guys you use are 100 years old ?
They look younger than that ;)

They are thier decendants I presume. The intro part was just to give a background about the story. but I see something fishy about that girl " Lufia" , she looks like one of these sinistrals,...I could be wrong thou

is that where they got the name for the game? Lufia is the main character in the first one?

Maxim's decendant was the main hero, is it not?

Yeah but since he doesn't have a name on the first one I have to refer to him as 'the hero'... in Lufia II you find out that the name of Maxim's child is Jeros but I suppose that in Lufia I they didn't think they would make a prequel ;)

i hate when games make you think up a name yourself. i much prefer to be given a name, even just a default is fine. at least there are the "hidden" default names in shining force.

wow, can't believe you play it now, haha,
it's like 4 yr ago I last played the game,
yeah it's one of the best rpg games
it's sad that they...
lufia 1 is straight after lufia 2, coz
lufia 1's main character is the son of maxim,
lufia 1 is much harder to play, coz you got that
boring random fights which you can't see like lufia 2
but overall, the game is as good as lufia 2,
