the only thing good about selphie, is her slot limit cause it let me use all the high level spells at low level (ultima, and holy ownz when ur still at low levels hehe...)

How come??? She's pretty good with magic and her limit break has awsome stuff like full-cure, wall etc...

judging by personality,
I am very similar to Squall, (both Leo's),
though i equally adore both Squall and Seifer,
for stylishness atleast,

oh and... Squall isn't cold and emotionless,
it looks more like he's got social anxiety.

Well, in FF8 there's not really anyone who is useless. All you have to do is junction them with the best stuff and you can turn anyone into a good fighter. So unless you're heavily into limit breaks everyone's pretty much equal in battle. I don't really like any of the characters in FF8 but if I had to pick one it'd be Squall, mainly due to his Renzokuken limit break, especially with the Lionheart follow-up attack and how you can crit hit every time with the trigger. He's incredibly useful for taking out Cactaur and other enemies with high evade rates.

Selphie was pretty annoying, but she had a friendly and outgoing personality I liked. Personally, I detest Cait Sith in FF7 the most out of all the FF games, followed by Quina of FF9.

Yeah Quina is a very anoying character just like Cid in FF4 !

Of course, everything is a matter of opinion, but . . .

Eiko's not annoying!

In fact, I don't think there are any really useless characters in the last three FF's. Not Ciat Sith, Yuffie, Selphie, Rinoa, Quina, Eiko, anybody. Annoying, maybe Irvine or the fact that Vicent's attack never went over 4000 normally, but not useless. Eiko during trance ROCKS! Auto-Phoenix on death! Super-powered Holy & Madeen! Oy . . .

I didn't say useless, I said annoying. As in the character. Yes, she rocks in battle, but outside of it... whenever she talks I go :eyes: then I go then I go :mg:... right... :heh:

I meant that, too! Eiko's kawaii! That perky, forceful attitude is pretty funny and a nice part of the game. It's kinda like people who watch Sailor Moon and don't like Chibi-Usa.

Heh, some people can't stomach characters like them. In real life these characters might be annoying, but they're a fun part of the game. Ah, well . . . can't change opinions too easily
