I was making ISO's of my FF7 cds last night and on CD3 it came it with a sector unreadable message. Using ISOBUSTER i told it to fill the sector with 0's. It happily continued and created the iso.
Will this iso work or do you think I'll need a replacement cd3?
If I need a cd3 i will just buy the game again today if i can find it.

Bad sectors are like scratches. The CD will work fine until it comes to the bad sector, at which point it may either skip that sector or just freeze entirely. Just hope that the bad sector is not at the beginning of the iso. Usually if it's at the end, then only the music tracks are affected because most FMV/Music data are stored at the outer tracks.

I examined the cd when this came up the first time to check for scratches but the cd seems in perfect condition. The problem came at 70% of the cd being read. I'm guessing this wont be at the start.
So i have my fingers crossed it will still work

Just seen above post. I will redo the iso and omit the sector this time.

i can never get a clonecd image to work. Isobuster i have no problems with but clonecd images just never load in ePSXe for me. Is there some sort of special settings for psx games to iso's?
Also incase the cd is broke i purchased FF7 on ebay this afternoon. I thnk just under ÂŁ7 for the game is a good price :)

Quick Update: I tried clonecd again and the iso of cd3 boots up ok this time, though the iso using isobuster also boots. heres hoping they work ok
