PLEASE HELP! Save states not working on PCSXR!

OK so I downloaded PCSXR and noted that save states were not working but I powered on. But I wanna play with save states now. I can save and load normally in game at save points, but I want to be able to save/ load at any time- like PCSX2 does!

When I press F1 or F3, nothing happens. If I press F2, it will show me the save state im on and a box that says "NO PIC". idk that that means.

If i press esc and on go on the emulation menu- I can press save--> slot #. But when I press esc again and press load-- I can't pick any of the slot # so its useless. PLS HELP! Idk what to do :c

I also had the same problem a few months ago. But luckily I found a method to solve it.

Unlike other emulators, the default pcsxr-pgxp.exe (the one linked in the pcsxr thread) neither comes with pre-configured folders nor creates them. Which means you cannot make save states or take screenshots unless you create a relevant folder for them. Heck, you cannot even make game-specific memcards if you don't create "\memcards\games\" folder path.

However there is a way to solve this. Download the version from EmuCR (PCSX Reloaded Git (2019/03/07) - EmuCR). This version already contains pre-configured folder paths so you can do save states or take screenshots as usual. The only things lacking are some bios and extra plugins. Also don't forget to create the folder path "\memcards\games\" if you want game specific memcards.
