first install your new video card completely, then goto the bios. assuming yours is like mine, you should see an "advanced" menu. from there, goto bus options and disable the onboard vga controller. note that the vga option will not appear unless you have another video card installed. once you disable it and exit the bios, you should be able to hook up the monitor to the new video card. also on my system some information is now incorrect because i disabled my card, but it doesnt seem to affect anything

we also have similar dvd rom drives! urs sd-612, mine sd-608 (and yes samsung makes dvd drives for compaqs) how is your dvd performance?

yeah mines actually a samsung, but it says its a compaq (man those guys from compaq are cheap lol) i believe the dvd i played ran full speed at 1024X768 with no problem. i dont remember cause i cant play the dvd anymore. (everytime i try it performs an illegal operation in dvd express av decoder.dll) back on the video card topic, i noticed a about 15 fps increase in epsxe and most of my games run full speed at 640X480 now. i can also use zsnes in a res above 640X480 (with the trident if i tried that everything just went to crap and back)
(EDIT: forgot to add this, but the geforce 2 may have the ablity to lower graphics quality in the display options if you games are still to slow.)also can someone tell me how to fix the problem?

well, you should never use winxp on a 233mhz cpu, secondly, that cpu needs to be replaced
the mobo u got now is a socket7, why not get a k6, k6-2, or a k6-3?? they will all work with your motherboard since the pentium mmx is also socket7 even though, it might not be able to run at its full clock speed because urs might be an older gen socket7, but i think it will work, unless stuff where u live is taxed up the ass

Just took this screenshot.. finally got my crime rating to 6 stars (4 were natural, last 2 I had to use a trainer code).. and the tanks were there waiting for me.. I could hear them trying to fire at me, but I swerved out of the way, then flipped over, then the tank came at me at top speed and slammed into my car.. blew up instantly but still flew about 500ft.
A lot of people have problems with GTA3.. try going to www.sheepyuk.com (I think that's the URL) and download his FPS fix, which should take away the stupid newspapers on the ground along with convert a lot of useless textures to 16-bit.. it allowed me to go from 800x600 to 1152x864 at full speed. Yummy.

Is it just me or is it low on color? I mean as compared to the PS2 version, these screenshots look a bit dull but sharp. I find the PS2 version a little more "colourful". Why is that so?
