Perhaps if you put the sound tag down at the bottom of the code, so it loaded the text and such first, at least allowing the user to read stuff or go to a link while the sound d/led. Would that work?

IIRC, BGSOUND tags need to be specified in the HEAD block. So, it would have to be an EMBED tag, if you took that route.

Yeah, and if you don't want it to be visible just add VISIBLE="FALSE" to it!
