Watched the 2010 Doctor Who Christmas special:

Pretty much one of the most awesome reimagining of the Christmas Carol i've seen. I was entranced the whole watched, and the actors all played there roles marvelous.

Well, as the one that kinda started the discussion that led to that debate with XBlade and Shinra on the last page, I think I should say something here...

(note, I didn't waste my time reading your posts very carefully, just glancing them through. Sorry, but aside from the first few posts, you went somewhere totally elsewhere...)

First off, I also think it was kinda shoehorned in. There were subtle hints toward it during the last two seasons, but very subtle. But I bet it's simply because the creators couldn't do better if they wanted to keep making it. Nickelodeon would have never in their life allowed them to make the main characters bisexuals in what is a "kids show" to the them... That series would have died right there, which is sad. But leaving that revelation to the last episode and to that last moment, Nickelodeon had no choice but to go with it as they wouldn't allow one of their most popular shows to go without a finale either.

Second, I liked it. Despite coming out of nowhere unless you could read the subtle hints, it was a great finale. The last scene was great, whether you see them as close friends or something more. It was especially great since the episode before it was awesome, one of the best in the series actually. Whatever you think about gays or bis, I don't see it ruining the episode or the entire show, it was still so watered down and despite what the creators say, you're free to see what you want! ...even if you are boring and can't see it. And as a whole, I don't think the series really lived up to Avatar:TLA, but it is still one of the best western animations I've seen.

Third, gays and bisexuals are already kinda common and (sadly, only) mostly accepted, whether the conservatives like it or not. I see no reason to leave these out even in a "kid show" as long as it's well written. I think it's especially stupid since watching anime, which has had gays and lesbians for quite some time, we can't even have a simple kiss without someone setting themselves on fire? (...I hope nobody actually did.) As far as I know, Sailor Moon for example had some yuri in it and that's aimed mainly for young girls...and it's ancient!

Goddamnit, now I'm the one going offtopic... The main point is, chill guys, chill. One way or another, this ain't that big of a deal.

Finished Legend of Korra...

What a great finale.

Edit: Well, reading about the supposed bi-vibes from the shows final scenes, I have to say that I thought that scene was too romantic looking, but I cast it off in my mind immediately. When I read what one creator said to confirm, my thoughts were kind of like:

WHAT THE FUCK.

But not cuz I'm a homophobe but more because I never caught any hints. Oh well. I was a bit curious as to how there was no relationship settlement for Korra.

I did notice some hints where I just went like "did they just? ...nah!" and just put it into the account of my mind just being dirty. Still, I think a lot of people put too much weight into the bi thing, it was an awesome finale with or without it. It was a bonus for me though, even if it could've been set up better.

The only real hint I noticed was the fact that she only wrote to Asami. I just thought that they were trying to keep the girl characters tight, ya know.

When Toph mentions that her relationship with Lin's father did not work out, she flopped the noodles between the chopsticks. Guess he couldn't keep it up.

Holy crap does The Flash increase the number of supervillains fast! Not to mention that now it's going off to the weirder side.

Latest episode revealed Grodd at the end, the talking superintelligent gorilla bent on world domination...comics are weird. Although he didn't exactly talk yet. Or seem very intelligent, considering it would've been wiser to let the repair crew do what they came to do.

Still, I'm surprised they brought him in so soon since I thought this was following the semi-realistic approach like Arrow did...well, as much as they could considering the presence of metahumans.

But it's actually getting pretty interesting, as long as they don't just forget the guys they've already caught.

Agreed, I am really liking the Flash.

LOL, the flash was epic this week.
I seriously laughed out loud way more then I prob should have at that scene.

More superhero series? I wasn't such a fan of Smallville... Kinda set a bias towards the others... Gotham, Arrow, Flash, now Daredevil?

I've heard good things about Flash though... Might give it a try...
You really should. The show is great.

Arrow started slow but got better as it went on with more villains and heroes showing up and the plot gearing up. I just wish they'd at some point got done with the flashbacks...it is getting old, especially with Ollie going on how he learned something on the island and then magically it solves everyone's problems. I think you could make a drinking game about Oliver starting with "During my time on the island...", especially in the first season.

Flash simply started strong and has been getting better and better, I'm actually really hyped for how it turns out. The crossovers between the series were also a really cool idea, and it's not just some one episode thing but something that continues on, at least with the side characters visiting the other show quite frequently.

I'm kinda on the fence with Gotham, it has had some really good episodes but it has also some really boring ones.

Comparing them to Smallville is kinda hard though.
Gotham for example is much more like a serious police drama, which is also one of the problems, but it really isn't even in the same genre as the other two.
Arrow and Flash on the other hand remotely resemble Smallville in some aspects, as at least they feel like superhero shows, but they are more mature. I guess it's because the characters are adults and not highschoolers, even if they did grow up in Smallville eventually... Still, I think they are superior in writing and acting as well.

Yo, Daredevil is 100x better than any of the DC shows combined. I have no idea why they show the crappy agent carter and agents of shield and leave this one hidden. Only thing that I don't like about Daredevil is that there is he doesn't use the nightstick and eventually he will put on the crappy devil suit. But I'm am so loving this dark show and am glad it is sticking to its genre and not mixing in the excessive comedy and quirkyness like the other shows and everything else is putting in. This is what I call a crime drama!
