Picked up a Playstation 3 recently and along with it Resistance and Vanquish.
For some reason I felt a lot of nostalgia for old school PC FPS when playing Resistance. It feels like a game thats sort of trapped between a PS2 and PS3 graphically but its still pretty decent looking. The fact that the game locations are not far off from where I live was pretty fun to look - the games "bland" colour pallet aint that far off from how still looks like in a couple of places here. The game is a little difficult at first, a lot of it had to do with the fact that this was the first time I was using Dual Analog sticks in an FPS game after years of using either a Wii Remote or Mouse/Keyboard. While the core gameplay isnt exactly groundbreaking even for 2007 its a solid FPS. The weapons are cool, the alternate history setting and the large scale environments are pretty neat as well. Definitly considering picking up Resistance 2 later on.

Vanquish for the PS3 is fantastic.
This was initially incredibly difficult to play through, not only because of using Dual Analog , but also because I found it hard having shake off the way you would normally play first/third person shooters. Its very different to anything I've played before. The gameplay can be descibed as part bullet hell shump, part run and gun, smashed in to a third person shooter. It has a very cool slide mechanic and bullet time effect too. The pacing is very fast and youre encourage to move around constantly. The graphics are awesome and environments, swarms of enemies and bosses are wonderfully outrageous. I'm a big fan of the Anime Mecha genre and really dig the art style and the feel of the game. The story is B-Movie fun, which is nice break after playing a stream of serious games.
If Konami, SNK, Capcom or Treasure ever decide to bring one of their 2D run 'n gun games to 3D, Platinum Games Vanquish makes an excellent reference to start from. There is a lot of replay, eventually I want to able to play like the gamer in this video

Vanquish owns. It really nails the balance between action gameplay, sci-fi coolness and kinda rad characters. Had such a blast playing it, but never bet the final boss. I...I just stopped playing it.

I would love to go through it again on PC, that game screams for super high resolutions.

Demons souls. 8/10. Not much of a story but the gameplay is very very addicting. Beating a boss gives me a warm fuzzy feeling...the evil kind...like "I just owned you bitch...after dying to you 5 times. Suck it!!!"

Shadow of Mordor: Good Game

Its quite addicting, it has an interesting story and pretty cool gameplay both as action and stealth. i love the parry system though the dodge and jump over ones are a bit of a pain sometimes.

Tales of Xillia (PS3) 7 / 10.

A great game but unfourtanly it is not as good as the older Tales of. It doesnt have too many variety of enemies also it is kind of short (27 hours long). The story also is kind of lame. The voice acting is good in English (Japanense versions is way better!). It doesnt have an atractive replay value T_T

Tales of Xillia 2 (PS3)

The creators got kinda lazy here, it simply recycles surroundings and even gives you the same party members as the first game, with a couple of additions. The main character is kinda character-less as he has almost no lines aside from combat moves and a couple of single words and grunts. This is due to player given choices on how to respond at times and those lines are not vocalized. Other characters are pretty decent, as is the voice acting.

The combat system is pretty much the same as it was in the first Xillia, with the addition of three weapon styles and a chromatic mode for the protagonist.

One of the most annoying things is the way the game restricts you from moving from town to town, which is kinda silly since pretty much all the places are the same as in the first game. These restrictions are lifted as you grind enough money to pay downpay your debt through MMO style side quests like, "kill 5 rats", "collect 3 brown rocks" and a few elite monster hunts. Aside from those there are sidestories where you get closer to your team mates, which have actually been the best part of the game. The main story is not really that interesting and it's fragmented badly by the pauses when you have to go and grind more money.

I would only recommend this to someone who likes Tales games, though it is totally not the best in the series.

Dropped Shadow of Mordor:

The Good:

+Interesting captain system.
+The basic captain system and struggle is interesting although the implementation leaves a bit to be desired.
+the stealth system is fairly interesting.
+for the most part the combat system is decent, i especially enjoy the parry system.
+the story had potential.
+awesome animations.
+unjustified requirements really, seeing how this game feels and looks on various settings they seem to high, and it needed more optimization.
+some funny comedic moments.
+very nice voice acting

The bad:

-Landscape/enviroment fairly plain and not interesting.
-while the stealth system is nice, due to how plain the environment is you can't take full advantage of it most of the time, that or it feels like they could have done so much more with it.
-for a fantasy game like this implementing a mission based system like GTA/Prototype really killed of immersion, hell it feels even worse implemented then in a GTA game, not to mention it severely kills of the story aspect of the game.
-the dodge mechanics is what cripples for me the combat system, its not as seamlessly integrated as parry is and it can get down right irritating at times due to how the targeting works in this game.
-to much hassle to ride a Caragor.
-not much variety in the game it gets stagnant rather fast.
-freaking annoying unskipable long as intros of the game, f**k you WB.

So basically at the core there is a lot of potential for the game, but to me it seems that they went with the shortest/easiest route possible, it impresses the player at the start of the game but doesn't have much to offer as you progress through the game.

Resident Evil Revelations 3ds (9 /10)

This is a great game, it's probably the best 3ds game. The cooperative mode online is really addictive!!, the main story is cool, awesome characters, it's not too long which makes you play easily without any worries. I'm currently playing online and I can't stop!! xDDDD. Too bad that resident evil revelations 2 won't be realesed in 3ds, well, I can played in the Ps3 xD.

White Knight Chronicles. Just started this game last night but holy hell i love it. Anyone here have anything to say about it? Does it stay good? Love the graphics and surprisingly the voice acting is not bad.

I have the International version...so i guess the first? So the second one comes with the first?
Edit...just looked this up. Is there any benefits to staying with the IE version? Or should i just upgrade to the remastered and pick up WKC2 tomorrow? I am only about 2 and a half hours into the IE.

Read up on it a bit. Went ahead and got the remastered version. So far the combat is insanely faster and even more fun. I regret not getting this while their servers were still up. Even with it offline now i can still see myself putting tons of hours into these 2 games. If the servers were still up i could have easily put hundreds.

As long as you didn't get it on PC, it should be okay... Horrible UI, horrible controls and a horrible performance sucking DRM. Bioware themselves even came out and said that the UI and controls on PC are fu*ked up. So much for the promise of making it "PC first".

The variety didn't bother me as much as how short and easy the game was. Out of all the tales games on ps3 Graces F for me is the clear winner.
