Gundam Creator Tomino, Hollywood's Legacy Effects to Make Film

Gundam anime creator Yoshiyuki Tomino will be holding a January 21 press conference to announce the first project in the collaboration between his Ookaze no Okorusama company and Hollywood special effects studio Legacy Effects. The two companies are collaborating in the movie production business — specifically, “movies based on Japanese manga and animation from Hollywood to the world.”

In addition to the pioneering "real robot" anime franchise Gundam, Tomino also created the anime titles Muteki Chōjin Zambot 3, Muteki Kōjin Daitarn 3, Densetsu Kyojin Ideon, Aura Battler Dunbine, Brain Powered, Overman King Gainer, and more.

Legacy Effects is the current name of Stan Winston Studio, the company formed by the legendary special-effects supervisor Stan Winston (Terminator, Jurassic Park, Aliens franchises). Even after Winston passed away in 2008 and his partners renamed the company, the studio continued to work on such films as Avatar, The Avengers, The Hunger Games, Iron Man 3, and Pacific Rim.

Bandai President Kazunori Ueno confirmed last year that the "anticipated" latest work by Tomino will be unveiled "sometime between 2014 and 2015." Tomino has been drafting a robot project codenamed "G-Reko," and Kadokawa's Gundam Ace magazine reported in 2012 that "G-Reko" would be "entering full-fledged production."
Not sure what to say. Being that it's the creators of Pacific Rim means that there might be some promise here. Still, just thinking about the previous hollywood adaptations makes me shudder...

Hmm... beautiful artwork, nice PLOTS, some interesting characters, except the main male character, he kind of annoys me... Overall not a bad show but there's just something about it that put me off... Not to mention:

They killed of Chiffon :(

What i did like was the analogy with babel, how if not prepared for something and advancing just greedy those more bad then good.

Finished watching Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai 1st and second seasons:

This was a really good show, all i can really say is that i hope i can see more, my favorite character has to be Rika and i have to say that in all my anime and mecha years i have never heard mecha being rendered in such an explicit way rotfl, not to mention seeing a bishoujo anime nun fart is a new one for me, hell seeing a bishoujo fart is a first at least in the animes i've seen.

It really was pretty damn good, especially being from the loathed harem genre. But the fart was your first but the vomiting wasn't? But the way it ended made it pretty obvious that there will be continuation, whether it's a movie, OVA or a third season.

@Chuunibyou2: ...And like I guessed, Nibutani is back in brunette.

Vomiting ? Hell no i'd even dare say its an overused element.... you get a lot of drunken bishoujo (many teachers for example) or some that feel wrong after a thrill ride. The fart part was definitely surprising.

Finished Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru:

Surprisingly entertaining, the theme of pretending of going out often appears in anime but more as a secondary part amids all the stories, but they went and did it as a main and also potrait it in an interesting light, the characters being quite interesting, it was great.

But it's rare to see vomiting done like it was there, right into the "camera"... But yeah, I guess you're right. Although I'm sure there are other examples of farting too, I can at least think up a few cases of "bubbles" in baths.

And it was a really great show to watch, as far as originality goes this is really one of the animes that take the cake. So, music/ost was great as well, animation lovely, characters wise it was nice, i really liked the protagonist Watashi, she was quite interesting, the story and plot was quite good and intriguing as well, the wierdest thing was that time period wise, it was going backwards storytelling yet the whole show felt progressive, that's a tough one to pull of and they did so magnificently, it also subtly makes you wonder about human nature, all while making you have quite some loads of laughter. Not to mention this was the last place i thought i'd see a Resident Evil reference/joke:

When she reads the previous mediator journal.

The author or whoever put it must've been quite a RE fan, because it isn't just a small reference but quite in dept:

Not only does it scroll similar to the journal system in RE but it parodies a specific journal you find (or more specific in one of the rooms when opening a cabinet and a zombie jumps at you from it, after killing that zombie you can take the journal) in RE1

Which blew my mind, seeing references in animes about other thing is normal nowdays, but someone going to such great lengths for it is a new one.

Huh, complely missed that one... Although I am less familiar with RE1 than I am with RE2. But still, I've played it through a few times.

By accident I found a movie that came out last year and the same guy who made Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita also created the manga it's based on:

Idea seems to be more or less similar to chuunibyou...

Finished watching GJ-Bu (GJ Club):

I simply loved it all, as far as this anime goes i can't say its neither complex or original nor is it particulat heavy or good with comedy, but despite that it was a very fun and entertaining show to watch, quality wise though it is very good, awesome art and decent animation, good ost and a nice cast even though not very original but as i said it felt fun and entertaining none the less. S2 has been confirmed and i can't wait.

...What? How can there be season 2? Some of the important characters graduated... Not that I don't want S2, it was great anime but just wondering how they'll do it. I guess they'll either go back in time or bring new characters. Although I see it being hard to replace them.

ANN lists it as "special" and the "preview" picture is very USA themed... At first I thought maybe they're going on a trip but considering the whole series took place within the club room, I doubt that would happen. So maybe it's going to be webisodes doing short skits. I mean a lot of series have done that recently.

^Ah i see, well will just have to see what the future brings.

Finished watching Hentai Ouji:

Surprising is the best way i can describe this anime, at first you think you kind of get another stereotypical and cliche anime, that for what its worth is fun, but it ends up being quite interesting and with a heavy plot and by heavy plot i don't mean the Steel King's oppai. Although initially appearing to have some cliche parts the characters have enough to them to be fairly original and interesting as well. This anime ain't nearly as simple as it seems to be at first. And further along quite good, i enjoyed it all from story, animation, art characters to ost. I hope we have a second seasons.

Found another weird shortie:

Minna Atsumare! Falcom Gakuen: It takes characters from Ys, Trails in the Sky and possibly other game series and then just...I guess you could call it parody. The idea is that the dimension they're in is perverting the minds of the heroes who appear there so they might act more or less out of character... Seems fun, although it might help if I had played other than just Trails in the Sky part 1.

Finished watching Astarotte no Omacha:

Based on some of the comments i've seen about this anime, i should probably feel a bit guilty or shame for liking this one... But i care not of such things so don't feel any remorse. Decent show made a fun watch.
