Here we go! 0.8 brings you the following new features:

Full video and audio playback in most games (audio requires an optional plugin)
Huge increases in compatibility! Final Fantasy: Crisis Core is fully playable on fast devices, for example.
Lots of little things like easy screenshot taking, the beginnings of a cheat feature, etc
Thanks to all the contributors making this possible! I want to call out unknownbrackets and oioitff for outstanding additions.

So get downloading! It may take Google Play some time to update to 0.8.

For those of you on iOS and Blackberry, 0.8 builds will be available soon. We are still looking for a volunteer to maintain a Mac build.

Henrik

Note: A Gold version for Windows is coming in the next few days, for those who want to support the project but don't have Android.

Nice. Got FF1 working. Looks great with the remade graphics. 360 controller works flawlessly with it..no issues so far. Even in full screen the game looks awesome. The blurriness is almost completely gone.

Sweet, at this rate PPSSPP developers will catch jpcsp in compatibility and once they do i doubt jpcsp will be necessary anymore.

I wonder what happened with the guys praising java in this thread: http://www.ngemu.com/forums/showthread.php?t=152660

They all vanished when PPSSPP got better...

Edit:

BTW, this was an indirect saying that java suck-a$$, too bad the java worshipers are not defending jpcsp anymore. Go figure.

Sweet. Yu-Gi-Oh! Tag Force loads without issues although I have yet to confirm whether the game is now fully playable.

No issues with Crisis Core. With Vsync on and Forced Linear filtering on...the game runs flawlessly. The screen does not even tear during battle or FMVs.

Man I can't wait when I get hands on some Android phone like S4. PSP games everywhere and no proprietary BS.
Sounds/Videos are almost perfect. MGS PW runs really good. There is upcoming fix for the Data Install and then only thing missing is the mission hangs. MGS PO has some missing geometry otherwise it's really good.
The texture improvements and AA really makes the games look so much better than on my PSP. I still don't get it why you can't set fullscreen resolution though.
Oh and why did they never made UI for this. It's pretty important.
[SystemParam]
NickName = NIckname
Language = 1
TimeFormat = 0
DateFormat = 0
TimeZone = 0
DayLightSavings = True
ButtonPreference = 1
LockParentalLevel = 0
WlanAdhocChannel = 0
WlanPowerSave = False
EncryptSave = True
And I really hope they'll add way to LLE the XMB menu if you have flash dump from PSP like Dolphin does with Wii System Menu. That'd be so cool!

Ya, I tested Syphon Filter DM and I think I was missing many sounds too

I'm blown away. Here I still am on a wimpy single core running 7 64-bit.

BUT this PSP emulation looks fab and runs FULL SPEED.

Too bad I was never into portables except the legendary Sega Game Gear. But still had to try.. crazy that there's no Alt+Enter , it's F11 , ha

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong...this is the first time I'm trying this emulator and I can't understand what's wrong

I downloaded few demos and this is the result
1.If Buffered Rendering is enabled,I get black screen but the game is running
2.If I disable Buffered Rendering,the next time I start the emulator,it will eat all of my remaining ram and the only way to close it is to kill(sometimes it's really hard to kill the process)
3.If I enable it and then disable it when the game screen appear,I can see the game and go to all of the menus on all of the games I try but once the actual game start,it eats all of my remaining ram(more than 800mb)and it says on black screen(continuing with my page file)

Everywhere except when it freeze on black screen,the speed is always 60(if I disable the frame limit,it can go above 250)

I'll have to test this out when I get home but what is needed to run full sound on Windows?
Seconded. I heard it's a real pain to get audio emulation working. I wonder if any of the Star Ocean games run on this emulator now.

Not anymore, that was before the .dll

You don't have to install Sonic Stage or OpenMG anymore, you just download the .dll with 1 click in the emulator UI and you are good to go.

Star Ocean First Departure works pretty well now on this version. The map screen is no longer blue but not perfect either unless you turn buffer rendering on, then it slows way down and you can't see characters in towns or dungeons. Battles show more with buffer rendering on to though it doesn't fill the screen, it get squashed. I haven't tried the second SO yet.

First screen with buffer on 20fps
Second screen buffer off 25fps

Well, better than it was before :D Do ripped PSP games still need to be decrypted (if you were to rip them to your HDD or something)?

Sound works fine in Street Fighter Alpha 3 and Final Fantasy I. Only problem I'm running into is controls. It would seem I'll have to tinker with it for controls.

I just use my 360 controller. No issues so far.
And ya the f11 thing kept throwing me off.
I love how you can change settings in game..and not have to exit like Epsxe. Its a plus.

Still a no go. Would be easier if I could find the install folder through directory navigation and simply transfer it over USB. :heh: The emulator works amazingly well on Windows 7 x64 bit though. :thumb:
you can't, unless you move the emulator to SD

the dll is downloaded to the apps cache
