Fix For Using Gameshark Codes On Mac Os X!

It's very easy using GameShark codes for Visual Boy Advance for Mac.

I have made a very detailed YouTube video on how to enter GameShark codes on mac, and shown a working example.

PS: I have also embedded a download link for pokemon RUBY codes for getting any pokemon you want in any pokemon game! =)

Well i don't think there is a reason to make a new thread... Anyway i had VBA 1.6a and 1.7 for mac and both of them worked with the gameshark codes but they stopped saving (Vba 1.7 never saved but 1.6a always worked but then it stopped) anyway whenever i put gameshark codes in those it would work. I got VBA-M to solve the saving problem but now whenever i put the gameshark codes it doesn't work i tried everything i read here and the reason i know how to even use the codes is from Mac_man's Vid

Try entering the Gameshark codes as Codebreaker codes? It worked for me sometimes....that's the only thing I can think of...that and try codes hosted on BSFree.com rather than the Gameshark homepage.

I've got a similar sort of problem but with Pokemon Fire Red. I have VBA-M on my mac and when I input cheats and open the ROM everything seems fine...I get no error messages but when I check the game (walk into tall grass to see if pokemon I wanted to have appear actually appears) nothing happens.

Hey, I had this same problem and found a work around for a few of them. USE CODEBREAKER! as long as you use the in game save, All the codebreaker codes that don't require the RNG kill code have functioned fine for me, and my problem was identical to your own. The RNG kill codes with button combinations might work, but I haven't actually tested them, so I can't say for sure. Remember to USE IN GAME SAVE. The slots will not allow it, and I think tinkering with the in game save might let some of the gameshark work as well. I will try to get back to you on this.
