the first FMA went completely off story
Yeah, well... The FMA manga ended only couple of years ago, they had to go off story back then or just end it midstory. I also like the ending in original FMA, but I think the "real" one is more fitting...although it's sad that they skipped a lot of stuff from the start in Brotherhood, it felt much more empty as a whole because of that. Should watch the beginning of the original and then switch to brotherhood when it goes off story...

Perhaps, but I did warn you from the start that I'm not really into AMVs. I'm merely posting so you get some form of feedback.

And thanks for the tip but me and streaming services don't get along due to the stability of my net. Some days it works perfectly...other days the buffer repeatedly "loses" the video/the vid stops being able to buffer and I have to start all over again.
The thing about crunchyroll is that you can skip to any point in the buffer on the video.

Also, does this have more "scene impact"? I haven't added the fancy nobs and whistles yet.

Not really. Whilst this one starts off better at this point I'd actually say the other one you did is overall more appropriate and better. And this one one starts off better with regards to synch....since the song has such a long lead in though it ends up with half the AMV being "nothing" scenes. They fit a lead in, yes, but they don't say anything.

The beginning of the anime is about the children discovering how screwed up their society is. I think the scenes are appropriate.
I know, but as it is it drags on for a good deal of the song.

Also when making AMVs you also have to think about people that never saw the show and try not to be too subtle with too many scenes that will seem like nothing to someone that hasn't seen it (unless preceding scenes clearly lead up to it) but carry heavy connotations for someone that has.

I can sum up the first 30 seconds (which is a good chunk of what's there) as people standing or walking around. It wasn't like that in your previous AMV.

The first 30 secs show the protagonist chasing after her friends after things get bad....I think that much is obvious. I know I have plenty of room for improvement, but the amv style I use requires a degree of imagination or prior knowledge to the show. Matching words to up front obvious images(like putting the grave clip when the words say "grave" isn't how you tell a story.

But things hadn't gotten bad yet.

Oh...that's water...looked like a shadow to me. So it just seemed like a time speed-up...still that's no reason to go desperately running all over the place if you don't know what's actually going on from the anime.

Yay i just found out that there's a second season coming (actually it already came first ep is out) of Hiakka Ryouran Samurai Girls (Dubbed bride):

Its one of the best action ecchi anime's i've seen and since the first season ended up pretty conclusive, i did not expected this XD, something to look forward to, can't wait for the blu-ray.

I'll work on it, it's a hobby I don't keep up with as much as I should(same with drawing). I don't plan to stop though.

I'll probably wait for BD's too... Although AT-X seems to be mostly uncensored(by sankaku preview), there will most likely be more ink splots anyways at some points. Besides, there are quite a few anime that seem interesting so I don't really feel bad about delaying some of them.

So far the ones I'm most likely going to watch are Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin, Nyarlko, Hayate Cuties, Suisei No Gargantuan and Oreimo S2. Also one that hasn't started yet is Yuyushiki, I've read some of the manga and it seemed like fun simple slice of life. It was actually advertised on Hidamari Sketch during last year, along with another slice of life title starting during summer, Kin-iro Mosaic.

Also... Strike, have you taken notice of this: Senki Zesshō Symphogear G

I can't watch your amv's till after i watch the anime, sorry but its a policy i created for myself, while i do admit it was planned to be my next watch it will have to wait a bit because i just found recently that Nanoha the Movie 2nd has been finally released (i've been waiting for this for two years), though right after i watch that its back on track to Shin Sekai Yori. I trust your recommendations XD.

Is the "lead in" speaking to you now? :|
