Glad to know I'm not the only one that thinks so about D Grey Man. They butchered the manga, then the manga butchered itself.
I was surprised to see it that highly rated after watching it... Watched Darker than Black a few weeks back and couldn't believe how many people complained about it and had the lowest score out of what I've watched. I thought it was a lot better than D Grey Man, Afro Samurai, and Blassreiter. I liked it a bit more than Last Exile but that was also a good show, just didn't like the way they summed everything up in one episode basically.

Its D.Gray-man :p, but leaving my nazy remark behind personally i liked it, except for the conclusion of the anime which felt like it brought it all back to square one... Blassreiter wise imho it was just visually stimulating, it lacked in all other departments.

PS: just so that my post doesn't produce any confusion if i had to choose between D.Gray-man and Darker than Black i'd say DtB wins, though to be honest i wasn't a big fan of the last DtB season...

I haven't even watched the second part of the show yet, they don't have it on netflix so I just watched the first. IMO if that was the end of the show it would have been fine, I thought they did a good job ending it. It left certain things unanswered but I liked that.

Just picked up an Appletv box, working great. My only issue is it won't let me change the DNS setting properly to allow use of US netflix.. Anyone familiar with this?

I didn't really dislike the second season but I think a lot of people, myself included, were disappointed with Hei turned into sort of a backup character with losing his powers as a contractor... His story was and, if memory is correct, is still a mystery but they decided to bring in the loli in his place. And although I did like the character, I just felt they pushed Hei aside who was and still is much more interesting character.

^I know that is what they tried to do but compared to S1 and the finale in S1 S2 was kind of a disappointing turn of events for me in more ways then one, i for one prefer to see S2 like a spin off, and pretty much that's the only thing as what i see it as.

Nothing to worry about you ain't missing much, just like with Orphen i ignored DtB S2, like nothing ever happened (well to be honest i treat it as more of spin off with no connection to the main series, even if its not quite true its more convenient for me).

Well, it depends on how they meant the ending to be...

The ending in S2 gives the option that nothing (much) really changed, if it actually is that Hei extracted the Izanami from Yin after getting his sister's full powers(molecule control) and that he leaves carrying her and then they could continue almost as if it never happened, at least it's not like Suou is coming back.

The other option is that he killed her, which would change things quite a lot.

Like i said its not about what they meant, its how i personally viewed it, unless there's a proper 3rd season, for me S2 never existed, at least as an actual sequel :p, personally i'm at least able to accept it as an spin off :p.

Finished watching Sumomomo momomo:

Fail show i don't recommend it, the only ep i enjoyed was related to a 3rd party char, or better said 5th party char, you know one of those that rarely come on screen... (ep 15), the protagonist was annoying the life of Sanae felt actually quite depressing, quite a few annoying elements this show had in other words i really dunno why i kept watching, it maybe i hoped that along the way there would be one good thing regarding the main plot to come good out of it but meah there wasn't...

Finished watching Gosick:

What appeared to be yet another detective anime, turned out to be something totally different and awesome, i did not expect something as good and as deep as this, truly a masterpiece, the show became one of my favorites for certain.

So what on earth is it then?

Its to deep to explain, it is true that it is part detective, but there's a lot more then that and the show has a main plot, all the cases along the way are pieces to make the actual lore and story of the kingdom where the action takes place, the lore and the subject are simply fantastic. This one is a really difficult show to explain without spoiling it, but its a must watch i'll say that, the romance element in it was also fantastic.

Well, to elaborate as strike didn't go into depth... It takes place in late 19th century(if I remember it right, might be early 20th), the protagonist is a japanese student who got into a school in a small imaginary kingdom in Europe with similarities to Monaco. In the school he meets Victorique, a girl who is at first kinda similar to the angry loli character type, you know, Louise, Nagi, etc...but is not voiced by Rie Kugimiya. But she has more to her than meets the eye.

I would also recommend it, it is quite interesting actually...

Finished Jormungand S2:

It was an interesting watch, though i have to say i dunno the full extent of her plan but i agree with what her brother said near the end to be honest. Hope that there will be a third season.

Finished watching Hiiro No Karera (both seasons):

Although at times some characters felt a bit empty, i have to say i really loved this show, the ending felt quite satisfying as well, although i wished the old hag had a more gruesome fate, i really hated that one character...
