Maken X launching problem!

Hello there!

I am currently having an issue with a few of the games I am trying to run on nullDC, and have been looking through out the net to find various solutions, but to no aveil. The main game I am trying to launch if Maken X, which, when I run, goes to the "Music Player" screen.

Other games I try and run such as Spawn; In Demons Hands, Power Stone 2, Illbleed and so forth run perfectly, and don't have this issue. I ripped various versions of Maken X, but to no avail. However, I have checked on the net in regards to Maken X, but everyone else seems to be able to run it perfectly well. I they something simple that I am missing, or...?

if it also helps, a few other games from my libary go to the audio player screen, such as D2, so I don't know if both of these games share the same issue.

I am using version 1.0.4... However, I have also tried the latest and older versions, same issue. as I also mentioned, I got tried it with numerous copies of the game, and I also tried it with various ones downloaded from the net, too. and the same issue persists.

The compatibility of the game however on numerous online sites says its good, but any copy of the game I try to run, be it my own, my friends or ones from the net, do not seem to be able to work.

Very odd indeed. The only other thing I could suggest is to change the game region by going to Options > nullDC Settings, and then changing the settings in both system region and broadcast format. If that doesn't work, them I don't know what else to do. Maybe someone else here will help.

I tried that just now, and nope, still doesn't work.

It wouldn't be rude for me to ask, if possible, for some one to get the game working on their own nullDC, and then possibly send me their nullDC so I can check out the settings?...

Thats the only way to see for sure if its my computer or somthing, I think...

Really? I tested it out on nullDC SVN r141 and it works fine. It has some graphical glitches here and there, and the sound emulation is incomplete but I don't know if its because I am using Echelons release of this bin/cue file I got, and made into a self booting image with bin2boot cdda. I think 1.0.3 might run this better, but I am too lazy to check. My plugin settings are all default, except for the fact that I am using the Puru Puru controller input plugin. I'm going to check out the GDI version after this download is finished.

Well, thats the thing, I seem to have all the original plugins too, and, I tried the bin2boot method, however, my computer seems to have several issues with using those programs. I also own the original copy as mentioned before, but no matter what copy I use, it just doesn't plain work.

Would it be possible via PM to show me the various builds of the emulator/any versions of the game you have to see if I am doing wrong?

Turns out that its worse in 1.0.3. I already gave you a link to the SVN build I am using and whatnot, but even if you do get the game working, the sound and graphics are a bit bleh due to the emulation, but still fully playable.
