who told you it was 64kbit? who told you it was 512kbit? begin by using the correct save size and you will have more luck.

This is the same way a R4 does it (every save is 512KB in size), and a lot of other cards, as far as I know. This is also called RAW format on a R4.
When No$GBA is set to RAW it saves them most of the time in 512KB but definately not always. When set to COMPRESSED you can't say which size it will be (hence it's compressed and every data compresses differently).
Now when you speak about R4... i am currently trying to convert my Desmume save file to a R4 save file. Ive used the Shunyweb converter but wasn't able to find the right file selection (.dsv file) to convert it into a R4 file (.SAV file).

is there a particular step that i must use in order for the R4 to read my Desmume sav file? Or is this something that isnt possible to do?

Side Note: i read majority of the post that seemed to co-relate with my issue. None seemed to work. Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Try export battery file

Dammit, I can't convert my Spirit Tracks .sav to .dsv. I tried it zeromus' way and used Shunyweb to convert a No$gba .sav to an Acekard RPG [Autodetection] .sav and importing that into Desmume. No joy. Then I tried using Save File Type Converter v2 to convert my .sav from R4 to Desmume (Auto Detect size). That didn't work either. So then I tried forcing the file size to 8Mbits, because that's what Advancescene.com says for Spirit Tracks. Again, Desmume doesn't recognize the save file! What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: I noticed that importing a backup .sav work with the first Phoenix Wright game and ONLY this game. Why?

are you actually importing it or just dropping it in the same folder as the game and hoping DeSmuME will read it?

Try the shortcut then: Select the No$gba sav without converting it, and then directly import it into desmume.

If that doesn't work: Go to No$gba.ini, look out for "SAV/SNA File Format", change it to "RAW" instead of "Compressed" or anything else. Save the ini file, load the ROM on No$gba again, make another in-game save. Import that save produced into DeSmuME.

I tried importing a .sav file in Desmume without converting it. Like I said, it only seems to work with the first Phoenix Wright game. Also, my SAV/SNA file format is already in RAW format. It makes no difference.
