1.2ghz celeron
32 mb nvidia tnt 2
40 gig and 20 5400 rpm maxtor hd
sound blaster live x gamer 5.1
p.s. i love this forum i am allways able to find a soloution here thx folks

well it work fine for me too, just select the pec emucheater for you plugin, then select the primary plugin like Pete's OGL or D3D.

Also check if all the files are in the plugin folder: gpupec.dll,pec.ini(do I forgot anything???)

I also use CEP... I think it is more easier to use than PEC. If you want gameshark code go to Gameshark code creator club site at this URL www.cmgsccc.com

Try using PEC first.
Don't forget to have the gpupec.dll files on the plugin folder, you really don't need to put the pec.ini
How to use it?
Start psx emulation cheater.exe (or something like that). Then set the mode to "Plugin mode". Next, choose the cheat you want and press "Send cheat to Plugin" button. Start your ePSXe and use PEC plugin. Configure it. The Run ePSXe. Now you have the cheat enabled.

Anyway, what's the profit using CEP?

The ability to customize and managing the code for your own need. CEP also has fast search function to search any value in the game and basically it can be used for all kind of emulator (PSX, Snes or Nes emulator).

hi!

I recommend to use the [pec] installer from the [pec] website. Because this program install [pec] and all the required files correctly.

"Plugin compilations", like Aldo or psxfanatics.com provide them, include only the [pec] plugin ... and this is damn useless, because you also need the interface and the database.

I know it "[pec]chu", its fast with mmx technology but I just prefer using CEP... Maybe it just me :)

Bravo JNS.

Anyway, why you don't add more codes (like FF8, it still need more codes)?
;)
Because it's a hobby, and not a job, and i don't get money for it.
And i am currently not in a mood to waste hours to add codes to the database for games which I don't even own.
I prefer coding more than monotonously work. But for sure, i always add some new codes to the database, just currently not codes for these "large games" like the Final Fantasy series, Chrono Cross and so on.
But still ... you can always use Aldo's PECEdit to add own codes to the database with just some clicks.

I'd be willing to help you out with that as soon as I get my good internet connection back, JNS. If you want, anyway.

There where currently some people who helped me to add some games. But they all gave it up after 5-10 games, because it's really much work ... it's not like clicking on a button, and the codes are in the database ... each game, like FF8 for example with 3000 codes or more, cost me up to 6 hours, to enter them completly in the database ... and not many people are that crazy to do that. :p

Also I can't use PECEdit to handle these large games. Because PECEdit does not work correctly with the "'Quantity Digits", Joker Commands, notes and many other stuff.

For sure, if you have too much time, and don't know what to do in your sparetime, you or everybody else can mail me and I am sure we find a way where can you help. :)
