Why DRM exists is beyond me...To rip them DRM free? Why people buy DRM MP3 files is beyond me! oO
Valkyrie Profile Lenneth Original Sound Track (KDSD 00088.89)What are all of the OSTs do you have in that picture, Galway?
Yes, just for collections. I have more actually, around 60 CD's of game / anime OSTs, mostly Final FantasyYou can purchase music on physical media still? Why would one do such a thing?
No, I just love to have it for collections. And yes, I have MP3 version of them, either *BEEEP* it from internet or rip it from the CDs.To rip them DRM free? Why people buy DRM MP3 files is beyond me! oO
As I said, I'm a collector and I have Final Fantasy items from OSTs, game, console, figure, etc. So it's nothing to do with "law abiding" whatsoever soul :innocent:lol you'd have to be a really law-biding soul to actually spend money on them.
I'm willing to buy both when they aren't DRMed to death. Most big digital distributors are DRM free.
Next argument?
Wow those are some beautiful soundtracks. It seems like you get them imported to you from Japan, huh? That's how I get mine. :3Valkyrie Profile Lenneth Original Sound Track (KDSD 00088.89)

That's the reason why I collect the CDs that I have. Honestly, if I think the music is incredible, then I will go out and buy the CD of it. Music that I absolutely love shouldn't be pirated IMO. I'd rather buy it.Yes, just for collections. I have more actually, around 60 CD's of game / anime OSTs, mostly Final Fantasy![]()
Mostly from Hong Kong, but it's authentic Japan version. I bought it from Play Asia because they offer free shipping (after I calculate, it still cheaper than if I bought it straight from Japan, for example CD Japan). For rare / old limited edition, I bought it from Yahoo Auction Japan with friend's help. I have FFVII, FFVIII, FFIX, FFX, FFX-2, FFXI, FFXII, and FFXIII limited edition, all of them brand new (sealed) and I'm proud to have it all, because they're rare and difficult to obtain :evil:Wow those are some beautiful soundtracks. The quality stinks compared to CD, also when taking music to friends house they are more likely to own a CD player then something that plays digital filesMost big digital distributors are DRM free.

Nice cut $1 at a flea market. Makes a good all-around knife... cuts through pretty much anything... including my skin.
You can buy lossless. The quality stinks compared to CD
Bo-****. Just about everything plays mp3's nowadays.also when taking music to friends house they are more likely to own a CD player then something that plays digital files
Legally? Where?You can buy lossless.
Yeah, specially if you're collector. If just want to hear the music, you can always rely on MP3, but collecting is different, so I have the CD for collection and the MP3 for my ear :lol:Still prefer to have a CD with cover and booklet![]()
the difference between lossless and lossy audio is purley theoretical IMOI don't understand the logic behind this... mp3 is much lower quality than cd, it's a waste not to listen directly from the real thing or at use a lossless codec instead.
FLAC + Stereo Tube rack compressor = suweet. There's even mobile/walkman stuff better and cheaper than ipod and that support FLAC now.
Curse the mp3 and ipod tiranny !
