I dont know if it's just me or what- I'm having a hard time getting cheats to work at all in any game with ePSXe. I have pretty much assumed that the cheats option in ePSXe just plain doesnt work- as I've tried varified codes on a few games now without any effect. I have downloaded Pec- and used it according to the instructions, and still- no effect at all. Also, Pec doesnt have any codes for Monster Rancher 2!!! :p Anyways, is there something that I am missing or what's the deal? Help me out- Thanks!

Where did you put PEC

LV; The main thing about pec is where you install the .exe file. It MUST be in your ePSXe "plugin" folder to work. As far as New codes, just goto a gameshark code site and print out what you want, then run pec and click on FILE and then User Database and label and type codes.
Start your game by running pec. Open User database and click on cheats you want to activate. Now Don't forget to click on "send Cheats to plugin". When you have done this ,simply fire up ePSXe and run your game. I try not to use it but some of the games they make are all but impossible to beat. I have used pec for two months and have found it works pretty good with most of the compatible games. Good Luck

Use the program

Ok daywalker; I will try to break this down for you but I must tell you that if I can not help you, there is a Forum directly connected to PEC. When you start pec the first screen has a HELP heading with the web addresses for the forum and the pec homepage.

First find the codes. You will find a few addresses for this in the pec help file also. Next drag your pointer to the FILE heading on the first pec screen. Now LEFT click to activate the file header and drag pointer to USER DATABASE file name. When you click on this a new window will open with the heading User Database. Click on the ADD CHEAT buttonand go from there.

PS make sure you type the CODE #s in the smaller boxes to the lower right. You should be able to figure it out with a little experimentation.

Thanks for the info, I'll try it. I'm like you, I dont want to "cheat" all the way through a game, I just want a little "head start" on games I've already mastered, like MR2 and GT2. Thanks again!
