Yeah grapics and movies where good in FF8. (even superb)

But story and gameplay sucked big time. The GF spells. its fun the first few times but after 10 times you wich they had a skip function.

And i did not like the draw magic. It's good that they try new styles but i liked the old way. gaining magic levels.

And going up levels is useless. I mean If i can't beat a boss or so. It was always handy to gain a few levels get some magic 1 level up and beat the living crap out of the boss. I mean i don't want to play 2 hours gaining levels for Sh%#t.

I liked the way in ff... everything except 8 allowed you to soop up so much that you could practicaly kill the final boss in one hit

yes, does it ring a bell if ultimecia blasts them away.... be prepared for a 50 minute fight.....

i have nothing against FF8. drawing was a little iffy, but over all the game was cool. i liked leveling up GFs and the limit breaks were nice too, unlike FF9.

i think neone who has played ff7 before 8 will not like 8....

i played 7 before 8 and i didn't have any problems with FF8. but then again, i'm not very picky when it comes to RPGs...

I amn't either, but ff8 was so bad in comparison to 7...

well, Mystical Ninja was pretty crappy on N64, but i guess that isn't a pure RPG either.

FFIX is among the bad RPGs. I don't have one that I particularly hate beside 9.

BTW, while we're on Ultimecia, try beating FFVIII on level 15. It took me over an hour to kill her. I only unlocked limit break, magic, and GFs. No resurrection, commands, etc... I went into the battle with Zell, Rinoa, and Squall, the GFs and magic divided equally. Squall died from Ultimecia's first hit. I accident chose Angel Wing for Rinoa's limit break, which had her casting status spells at the completely immune Ultimicia for the duration of the battle. I ended up going cheap and alternating between Punch Rush and Booya for Zell, doing 700 for each hit and approximately three hits per second. That pretty much saved. Also, it's cool how you could kill Ultimecia with a single Apocolipse spell at such a low level when she starts stocking them.

i never put myself to trying to beat the game at the low levels. then again, i only played through the game once, and maybe a little in a second game. is it more fun playing at low levels, or just more challenging?

whenever i play an rpg for the first time i always train like crazy
i cant stand losing to a computer
