I attempted to play DBZ Budakai 2. I have a 2.0ghz duo core, Vista 64-bit, 4GB RAM, GeForce 8600M GS 512mb

What is causing this low fps and the artifacts to show up? I've turned on the duo core in the cpu configure. I've tried both plugins, but i can't find the native check box that people have talked about.

Any insight?

You could always OC your processor.... um wait.......is that a labtop you are using? Unless u have a desktop with a big case and a wallet full of money to buy all the necessary parts, I would only suggest u to either stop playing in pcsx2 and use ur ps2 or be satisfy with the results u are getting.

Yeah it's a laptop. I already use my PS2, I was just wanting to play PS2 games at school.

BTW, how is my CPU the bottleneck? I have never heard of a CPU bottle necking a game's frame rate before.

This isnt your computer running a game this is your computer running a emulator, there's a difference.

I could link you to a more detailed explanation but it is inside the PCSX2 Forum, and well u need to read the rules to get inside. :p

Anyway CPU performance is very important when emulating, but there's some games that will benefit from a better graphics card. Both of them on your laptop are just under playable rates but not close to full speed in all games, as a guide 2.8GHz core2duo or 3GHz Athlon64x2 or better are recommended. For some games a better graphics card will help also.

there is no way getting more work to the GPU for speedup all games.

if the PS2 CPU (EE) is loaded @ 100% and GPU (GS) under 80% you can only get more speed with an faster CPU and not Graphics Card.

before the first ZeroGS Kosmos came out pcsx2 was always GS limited, now it has been turned to CPU.

and yes GSdx is faster than ZeroGS in most games.

Try wwe games, they are faster. Dbz is a demanding game even though it is 3d.
