Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor E8500 / 6MB L2 Cache, 3.16GHz, 1333MHz FSB

Dual Nvidia GeForce 9800M GTX Graphics with 1GB DDR3 Video Memory in SLI mode

Genuine MS Windows® VISTA ULTIMATE 32/64-Bit Edition

8GB Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 667MHz - 2 X 4096MB

500GB 5400rpm SATA 300 Hard Drive

is this good enough or should i get intel quad core at 3 ghz

I dont think its a laptop ive never seen one with SLI

message = void
googled and discovered some laptops with SLI, the world has gone mad

At least 3 brands offer SLI in their laptop packages now, the only holdback is battery life and heat.

Still, that's definitely an ultra high end laptop right there, that would definitely play pcsx2 full speed, though since your already spending well over $5000+ on it, you may as well get one of the newer quads which come at 3ghz+ if the option is available (Killer Notebooks sells a notebook with similar specs as the ones you mentioned, but with a QX series desktop CPU I believe), also may as well go the extra mile and get a SSD drive or a 7200rpm drive while your at it.

u can tell by the video card it's a laptop, and yes, that's more than enough to run at full speed. my standard macbook pro's spec is less than that and i'm running a lot of games at full speed, some at nearly full and some at over full speed.
