I am trying to install Windows 98 Second Edition on my Acer laptop.The installation passed totally fine.However,I can't install my graphic drivers for ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 and 9700.Are there ANY drivers for these graphic cards that can run under Windows 98?

Catalyst 6.2 for windows 98/ME was the last for 9x i think.

I don't think that'd give good graphics! There must be a tweak or fix on the Internet which can make 8.6 work, I'll have a quick look around and tell you if I come across one.

Why would there be a tweak to get something new working for an operating system which is no longer supported and used by most people?

Wow, what kind of laptop is it that you need win98. I think win2000 should be as low as you go. If you need to run 98 it would actually run better in a virtual machine.

Its because there are several die hearts out there who've been hugging Windows 98 for 10 years and have no intention of letting it go. So someone must have come up with a tweak

theres absolutely no way you will get NT drivers working on 9x. difference being memory access/management within the HAL is different. (thats one difference)

Wow do you actually know a die hard 98 fan, or someone who doesn't know how or have the time to upgrade.

Though I wouldn't say he "doesn't know how or have the time to upgrade". Its just that he doesn't want todito.
even my old P2 366mhz laptop with 128MB can run XP properly.
but there are still some tweaks here and there needed for some ram hungry progs.

Hehe yea I am WIN 98 fan.S.T.A.R.S
Anyway I will try Catalyst 6.2 and tell you if it works.
