Suikoden 3 and 4 need help

Hello. I set up my Pcsx2_0.9.4 two days ago and after reading alot of guides i still have some problems.

For my Suikoden 3 i cant find the correct "address" for the pnach file. When i do a search in the "SLUS_203.87" i just can't find the line i need where the adress is. The guide:

Says that if i can't find the line i probably shouldn't even try. I am not stupid, just inexperienced so if someone could help me how i can find the adress for suikoden 3 i would be most grateful.

For my suikoden 4 i actually found the correct adress and after some graphics configuring i got the game to an amazing 50fps and 31 fps in large areas with many people. Iam very happy with this and its totally playable (the water is rainbow boxes tho :D)

My problem here is when you go out on your first real mission , kill 3 sea monsters or deliver document, when i press the go button or what ever the screen turns black and it feels like there should perhaps be a video sequence here that is not being able to run. I tried to use other graphics and click/unclick every option but i am stuck, i dont know what to try more. If you know how to solve the problem , again i would be most grateful.

Also if there is something that i have missed to mention just ask and il gladly tell you.

edit: managed to tweak it to 70 fps and around 45-50 fps in crowded places. Still can't get through the black screen issue tho :(

The hang in suikoden 4 cant be skipped atm.. I'll bug rama when I see him next :p

For suikoden 3 you need to see which version you have.
SLUS_203.87 CRC = 5F3DD929
Should be right if google doesnt lie to me :p

Suikoden has rather heavy glitches in 0.9.4 though. Wait til ref updates the svn with ramas fixes (if he ever will) then compile a svn version for a nice looking suikoden 3 :)
If you know how to work with sourcecode rama posted the fix code in the beta thread.

Ok so suikoden4 is unplayable as of now. Il just wait for a patch if there ever will be one :)

For suikoden 3 i didn't quite understand what you meant. You can play it but it has some glitches, right?

For the patching. I made the pnach file but i can't find the number that should be HERE , within the two commas.

"patch=0,EE,HERE,word"

For suikoden 4 the line should look like this "patch=0,EE,0047be00,word,24020001" but the number "0047be00" thats the one i need but the correct one for suikoden 3.

The Crc is correct its 5F3DD929 and the game does'nt complain about that.

Omg... I read your reply and thought. What a stupid advice... OF COURSE i have tried to press start and every other button to get ahead.

Then i remembered that i never set a start button for my psx before i got suikoden 4 to work(it never said "press start" anywhere before) and now i tried it with suikoden 3.

Edit: Got a bit to happy to fast. When i try the Hugo or Chris character its the patches cant be found error. Trying Geddoe character and i come to "now loading" but it never stops, also the console says patches not found error but it also says "vm hack vm hack vm hack" and its not scrolling down all the time like it is for other patches cant be found errors.

Maybe this emulator thing isnt for me anyway. If 4 wont work and 3 has so many issues i might aswell buy everything instead.

patch not found ? just turn off patch use n it should work.

Though as I said wait til Ref adds ramas fix to the svn n use that then so you can play bugfree and with some speedhacks the 0.9.4 is lacking.

Yes it takes a while to get used to the emulator but its not that hard once you get the hang of it.
