Problem with GDSX plugins

For some reason everytime I try to load one of the GDSX plugins PCSX2 crashes. I was wondering if it could have something to do with the bios I am using, or maybe even the fact that I am on Windows Vista. Also, everytime I try to load from my memory card I have the same problem.

My specs :
Intel Core 2 duo T7500 2.20GHZ
NVIDIA 8600GT
Windows Vista 32bit Home

I appreciate any help that is offered. Others have tryed to tell me I do not have the specs to push most games, but I am running Unreal 3 on full settings at 55-60 FPS, so I do not see how that is possible.

you're problably using the sse4 version of gsdx. Instead use the sse3. sse4 iirc is only compatable with T9xxx penryn based laptop cpus. (Not sure about the T8xxx those might be penryn too)

If that doesn't work run the Bugreporter which is linked in my sig and post results.

I tried this, and, though it was a slightly different crash, it still crashed. I read somewhere that the GSDX drivers work better with older PS2 bios. I do not if this is jive or what, but I was curious if that could possibly be the problem. Any ways I really appreciate the help.

Post bug reporter results.

go to your cpu options on the pcsx2 and see if you have multi-threaded GS mode on. I think on the guide somewhere it said that clicking that will cause crashes with the gsdx plugin. Funny though, i have it clicked and it doesn't crash for me.
this is no longer a problem for gsdx. It hasn't been for half a year. Just make sure your using a reletively new version of gsdx

PCXL isn't PCSX2 - read below my avatar picture. ;)

run the bug reporter in my sig.

set app priority normal.

nono, the dx runtimes are updated pretty much every single month.

you need to make sure you have the latest or it wont work.

Just cuz you have dx10 doesn't mean you have the lastest runtimes.

Actually I just spoke with Dell and tey are saying that I have the most recent. Though I have not updated in a long time, this is what they are telling me.

Ok so I looked at my dxdiag ad it says driver version 7.15.0011.5669 english. Are these the latest?

Ok, so I tried to run the DX setup and recieved and error message reading " a cabinet file needed for installation cannot be trusted. Please verify the Cryptographic Services are enabled and the cabinet file certificate is valid. Does anyone have any idea what this means?

the dell tech support know crap really. ;)

if your not willing to run the DirectX End-User Runtime Web Installer then i can't help you.

I have the same problem as this guy. I have a e8400 with 8800GT. Zero graphics plugin at least starts the game but its crap that i can't see anything.

Hey you know what i downloaded that directX End-User Runtime and GSdx works now.. now i just have to find out how to make the game run smoother. Its way better than the zero plugin though.

thats what im trying to tell this guy but he doesn't seem willing to listen. Oh well his loss.

enable multi threading and dual core mode, overclock, use the svn beta's speedhacks avaiable on pcsx2.net.

We do not troublshoot or support betas on this forum though, so if you have a prob you have to go elsewhere.

First off, not to be a pr!ck or anything. But if you go back and actually read what I wrote, it very clearly says that I have already tried running the directx runtime. I also listed what error message I was getting, and was simply asking for a little bit of help. I have tried running the GSDX on all versions that I have, and it works on none of them. But I appreciate your critiscism none the less PCSX fan ;)

In basic words: run it as admin. I've never used vista and poked around in the startup processes, so i can't really say what Cryptographic Services are, but it sounds like something to do with DEP (forgot the exact acronym, just remember its something to do with malicious data prevention, which is what its doing since it asks you for a certificate). Plus, don't listen to Dell, their customer support service couldn't tell a PSU apart from a dvd drive.

If you have trouble with the big-boy do-it-yourself installer, maybe check out the web-runtime (or am i getting this confused with some .net framework installer?T.T). I'm sure there was a dx web installer link on the forums here somewhere though. Oh yea, make sure its the end-user runtimes you download, not the actual directx10/9.
