PS : Some of the above stuff are from the old era, mean you have to use'em within CMD.

By using Dr Hell's GPU Recorder (highly optimal optimized recording of the gameplay, which can later be viewed in GPU Player and recorded from there using any method you wish, such as FRAPS)

Pros: recording gives nearly no speed hit. the sequences also could be recorded with the peops plugin, yet be played in GPU Player with pete's ogl2 plugin and recorded using that quality and/or much higher resolutions that wouldnt have been viable during a regular gameplay session)

Cons: its not a directly usable avi file.

For me, I don't have any noticeable hit to speed when I just use FRAPS to record. I then just edit the .avi in something like Camtasia.

Have you gotten higher quality videos using your method?

With DarkMans tool you can get the same exact quality as the one you're seeing on your screen (while the game is emulated), the only disturbing thing is that its a very demanding task while recording and re-play.
