Ok, so I finally received my fresh and new Asus P5Q Deluxe, I plugged everything in and BAM, the system doesn't boot up. The LED on the mobo lights up, and that's it. I removed 1 stick of ram and nothing, I unplugged everything but the processor and nothing. I used a spare PSU I had lying around and nothing.

So, I ask myself what could it be that's causing it to happen and haven't come up with anything yet. If any of u knows the solution, I'll be more than glad to hear it.

Specs are on sig like always.

Does it even POST, or just not enter windows?

If it POSTs then try booting off a Linux live cd, see if everything is being read.

yep, I hve it right, it's pretty easy using the Q connnector. The only thing that happens is that everytime I press the power button, the LED that the case has on the front lights up a bit, then faints.

No post, no beeps.

I tried using a good old PSU as well, but it did the same.

yep, there's a 30 warrantee, If nothing works, then I'll send it back for a replacement. I might as well buy a new PSU just in case.

I feel like crying now:dead:

It should at least post though. Anyway, I just RMA for a replacement, hopefully it arrives soon, I ordered a new PSU jut in case too, if it doesn't work, I'll report it here again, that is if I don't suicide first.

StriderVM, what do u mean the processor isn't input properly? You kinda lost me there, xd.

Well, when the motherboard does absolutely nothing when it's turned on, it could mean either the processor isn't working/dead, wasn't seated properly or the motherboard is dead.

A far third is the RAM. Remove ALL RAMs and then turn it on. If it starts to beep. It means you're either forced the RAM too much in the slot or too little.

Well, when the new mobo arrives I'll check if it doesn't boot, if it doesn't, then I'll put that hot old pentium D and check if that was originally the prob

Edit : just ordered new mobo, PSU, and processor, that should rid me of all problems.

Guys, I just want to know one question, I found out that my pc doesn't boot up because of my GPU (who knows why), I just want to know if the Asus P5Q has problems with older cards that are PCI-E 16x 1.0 instead of 2.0, I don't understant whyit doesn't even boot up.

Am I stuck and need to break my wallet and buy a new GPU or is there a solution out there?
