But anytime i hate intel.
why?
because you can't live with the fact that intel processors performing better than AMDs ? :p

and a better graphic card doesn't help when the CPU usage in the gsdx bar is below 95% while the fps are below fullspeed.
for CPU gabest means the usage of the Graphic Synthesizer, not Emotion Engine, that is what i heard.

You can use all DirectX 10 features, just not 10.1 features with a 8xxx and 9xxx line.

NVIDIA is skipping 10.1 and going directly to DirectX 11 support. Wiki it.

I readed, that DX10.1 is just a big tweak for DX10, it makes AA 4x as standart for all graphic and something like "floatin point is now 32bit". Don't know what it does, but according to microsoft, we don't need to change our GPU.

First of all. This isn't the right place to talk about hardware specifications.

But since you''re asking. You'd have to change your GPU if you want to use 10.1. although there is no problem in using just dx 10.
As Mkilbride2588 said, nvidia does not support 10.1. So, if you want to use it, you would have to buy an ati card like the 3870.

the DX10 graphics cards that are out now will work with DX10.1
but they won't use the new 10.1 features.

its as simple as that.

[Offtopic] That's pretty much what I wanted to say, sorry for my choice of words :)

Well, this discussion about dx 10.1 stuff is not really related to GSdx at all. There are enough other boards for that kind of talk

Hi guys (and girls), I'm having some problems with the newest version of the plugin.
It speeds up the games alot, and make them look fantastic. The only problem is that for some reason the game screen starts flashing with different colors, depending where I am at the game. It happens frequently in Dragon Quest VIII and occasionally in FFX.

I'm using:
C2D e6400
Geforce 8800GTS 640mb
2GB of 667mhz DDR2 RAM.

I really hope this is just a minor problem that's easily fixed, as this new version is the only plugin that actually gives great speeds in DQ8. Thanks people. :)

E: Oh and I did try to search, but didn't find posts with this problem.. I'm sorry if I missed it.

bimba,
make sure you're not using frameskip or VU skip, that might be the problem.
or maybe you have vSync on, turn it off.

I've always been curious as to why the Pixel Shader option is greyed out in the DX10 versions and just says Pixel Shader 2.0.

Does that mean it's already using the Shader Model 4.0 for DX10?
