Hail to all!

I'm writing this, because i finally got it working with a savegame that allowed me to skip the intro, and i'm almost at the heavens :), only one problem remains...

Well... it's not one exactly, because with ZeroGS Kosmos 0.97.0 which seemed the best choice for me /tried some others as well/ it still maintains some glitches ingame, but this is a minor issue compared to te following.

It runs awfully slow....

My specs are a Core 2 Duo E4500 2.2Ghz, GF8600GT 512Mb and 3G 800Mhz DDR2 so i guess i have a decent basis on hardware /correct me if i'm wrong/. And becouse of this at the CPU config, i enabled all, MGTS and DC as well.

And this is the problem.

Becouse if i enable DC only the SC3 starts, but it's really slow. If i enable MGTS also, it starts, and i can see a major speed improvement, but as soon as i hit start at the main screen, pcsx2 crashes... every time :(

Any helpful suggestions on how to make this working fine are greatly appreciated!

keep MTGS and DC off, they arent very soul calibur friendly, i know its slow, but all the soul caliburs are.

Hi guys,

Well, well see that ive got too ! Im playing Soul Calibur 3 on the emu great ! >If it would be confugured so that the intro be skipped then we could say that Soul Calibur 3 is playable because Soul calibur 2 crash a little but and 3 not thats my conclusions!

Peace!

Well is this do able ? Maybe a patch or smtg ? Prabably many users would like to run SC3.

@Yargol maybe you can share with us youre savegame and write simple how did you do it ? ( i supose sharing savegames isnt illegal). Wouldbe nice.

also try an older ZeroGS, i found the new one crashes going ingame, where the older one i have (0.96.4) seems to work fine. so the one from 0.9.2 might work ok

here is my savegame for the PAL Soul Calibur 3:

oh man, i broke my brain in half trying to figure out how to play soul calibur 2 without the 256 colour hack, and now you say that we have to disable MTGS and DC to work.
That`s true, both Soul Caliburs 2,3 are playable (stable) if you disable those optiones (no crashes or major glitches).

In battle for me SC3 is around 8-18fps. Just compile PCSX2 SVN 263 (the intro works normal, no patches needed :) ) and use GSdx (dx10).
With GSdx (dx9) runs very slow - 0.5-2fps.
But there are some bugs, for example rarely apears SPS and sometimes in battle, the stage and the characters don't render (only weapons are visible :p )

After loading Adrian-ex's savegame, I appear to be starting the normal opening cinematic as always, and freezing some way through it. I have the PAL version of SC3, and everything else appears to be working alright, save for a slow framerate and robotic sound :p
