So does this plugin ignore problems like ZeroGS? Anyway, thanks for the update man.

I think it means that ZeroGS skips errors in code and he wonders if GSdx skips them too or it will crash when error in code occures.

oh wow i just noticed this -_-

thx a lot gabest!

FFX runs good like a official PC port now, i didn't expect this great progress two years ago ;)
there's still some missing textures in ffx-2 or else it'd be official PC port too :p

The ghost effeckt is in metal gear solid 3 also is there a way to correct it?
There is pretty much zero ghost effect for me in both MGS 3 Snake Eater and Subsistence (NTSC versions).

There is some mothion blur purposely placed in fast moving scenes MGS3 like in the initial sky diving/parashuting scene. Its supposed to be there and exists even when playing on a playtstation.

What is your version and crc?

huh? what does that mean?
I might be inaccurate but I've seen some posts stating that ZeroGS ignores KH 2's problems so it does not crash and have random gray screens, although ZeroGS renders everything badly; everything's a bit more blurry and most objects have choppy edges instead of smooth ones. You will be able to tell the difference by seeing the amount of time you can play KH 2 with ZeroGS and Gsd.

But if I was to not compare about ZeroGS working better with KH 2, this plugin is definitely my favourite and the best around.

v1.1 released, ffx battle start and stripes were fixed.
Wonderful, a new release! Thanks gabest!

Hmm... The FFX stripes problem was not fixed for me (trying it with GSdx 0.1.1 on original Final Fantasy X SLUS-20312 with nloop on, alpha correction on, logarithmic z on, texture filtering on, native D3D res, on a Windows XP SP2 system (DirectX 9 mode, Hardware renderer set in GSdx, Pixel Shader 3.0 chosen in GSdx), on a C2D E4500 @ 2,2Ghz, 2048MB RAM, and a GeForce 8600GT 512MB). Running on PCSX2 v0.9.4, with all optimizations on and MTGS/DC modes enabled. Also tried turning off alpha correction and logZ, but it didn't help. I wanted to test it in DX10 mode but I don't have an option of installing Vista right now... I'm wondering if the bugfix only affects the DX10 mode?..

For me, the white stripes in the Sphere Grid are still present. The black/gray stripes on the terrain after entering the character menu and exiting from it are still present as well. Am I missing something (maybe I have to turn something on or off that I don't know about)?... Or were you referring to some other stripes problem that I'm yet unaware of?...

MORE INFORMATION: I just retried it on my laptop, which is weaker than the main PC though (Intel C2D E5500 @ 1,66 Ghz, 1536MB RAM, GeForce 7600), with the same settings. I got the same problems - both the stripes in the Sphere Grid (white thin lines) and the stripes on the terrain when entering and then exiting the character menu. An interesting observation: turning the software renderer on (Direct3D9 Software mode) seems to cure the terrain stripes problem but it makes my characters look solid pale blue sometimes (e.g. on a ship in the beginning of the game, after loading that spot from a memory card). Using the hardware D3D9 renderer (PS 3.0 mode) gives me the stripes problem, but makes my characters look totally normal. Btw, just for the sake of completeness of info, my laptop is also running Windows XP SP2 with DX 9.0c (I can't test the DX10 mode on my laptop 'cause it doesn't have a DX10-compliant videocard anyway).

ANOTHER OBSERVATION: When running the game with native D3D resolution and texture filtering off, the terrain stripes problem seems to be the worst (the stripes are thick and almost solid); turning the texture filtering on and setting the 1024x1024 texture resolution makes the stripes look a lot thinner, but they're still there for me...

If needed, I can provide any necessary extra information about the PC configurations I tried the game on or about my PCSX2/GSdx configuration, as well as any screenshots (lemme know if anything is needed).

Great work though, as always! Thanks a lot!

in my system ( 8800gt dx9 , core duo 3.41Ghz) a lot of games are running full speed and graphics seems like an "year ago" pc game.
I'm really enjoying FFXII ( never started on my ps2 beacuse of not good graphic on my 32"lcd), i will buy Dragon quest 8 then and play it.
Really Really enjoying.

(gabest do you know if there are performance issues compiling with vs2005 or 2008?)

(finally i will play ico and colossuss toooo )

Real Robot regiment ( NTSC JAPAN ) was working correctly at 0.11.1 (dx9) now the menu are black and don't update the image ( you cicle trought start , option , newgame etc etc but you can't see nothing than the first image ).
When you manage to go in game now it is very slow, before was 66% of full speed.
