so can u tell me how to play fast step by step please ?
thanx

You have amemory problem? The idea of the memory is that PCSX2 locks a certain portion of memory because it NEEDS that space to run properly at its fastest speed, and to properly emulate the PS2.

Make sure you run PCSX2 as an administrator in order to allow the memory lock to be applied. Also make sure that you have all duel core abilites marked as on.

As for your PM, i sent a reply. There are a couple people here using the same processor as you (The E4400), and i am sure they are able to see ok speeds. However, as mentioned in the PM, the E6750 is easily the biggest bang for the buck.

As an aside, keeping yoru PC specs in yrou signature really help out on these forums. Its jsut easier. That and you get to brag about yoru monster rigg, assuming you have one. Or you can make fun of all the proscotts who dont have the money to upgrade (or simply dont care i guess) :p

Just OC ur C2D. U don't have to change it lol! 2.8-3.0+ GHz should be enough to get fullspeed in games like Final Fantasy series, Kingdom Hearts and others high compatible ones.

no no no. Dont buy a new one. I was onyl suggesting that the 6750 is the best one to buy currently. At least in my opinion anyway.

If you have a decent motherbaord you can just voerclock your 4400 to 2.8 ghz and get teh same speeds as i do.

Change yoru multiplier to 8 and, and the speed to 333. That gives you 2.66 which would give you a processor equivalent to the E6600 and you wouldent radiate too much more heat than you are now.

I dont overclock at all and i can play lots of games at full or near full speed on my rig, which you can see described in my signature.

LOL WTH IS Intel Core 2 4400 @2.0Ghz?... Get CPU-Z! :D

Another Thing:

Before everyone buy an Core2Duo to play PS 2 games, you can buy a PS2 for half prices on ebay.

PCSX2 isnt a alternative PS2...PCSX2 is a journey or experience to make usable the x86 architecture for this complex emulating project.

PS. Sry for english too :)

You need to own a Playstation 2 console to use pcsx2. So your 'suggestion' is a mute point.

The emulator is still in beta, meaning there are still bugs and kinks to work out. Meaning not every game perform the same. And since games aren't coded exactly the same, it's pretty obvious they won't be executed in the PS2 in the same manner :thumb:.

So what game are you trying to play?

You must own, you have to own, but you dont need to own PS2 if my english knowledge is correct.

Pcsx2 Vs Ps Console

Yes, you have to own a real Ps 2 to legally use the Pcsx2. But I have to say, playing in the emulator is much more fun than playing in the console. Why?? That's very simple... Because in the emulator, while playing you can also talk in Msn, or enter a Team Speak channel, you can take screen shots from the game and show your friends, so playing never gets boring.. Can you do that on a real console ??? I'm all the way playing by the emulator. By the way I have a real Ps2 so that's not a problem. And let me say again. Emulator > Console. So much more fun. Cheers to Pcsx2

Am I the only one to see what is wrong with this guy PC?

A 8800GTX with a C2D at 2ghz? Isnt his CPU bottlenecking his gfx card in every PC games? I could be mistaken, but a 8800gtx needs a very strong cpu, and a 4400 at 2ghz doesnt strike me as the ultimate CPU to let a 8800GTX run at 100% without bottlenecking...

Yeah, a C2D at 2Ghz is holding back an 8800gtx. Do what you can to overclock the beast.

Also, in that photo, that is a really odd amount of ram it says. Are you by any chance trying to use 4GB of Ram with XP pro x86? That isn't the best idea because it is wasteful. You'll need an x64 OS to take advantage of a full 4GB if you have it.

Although, if you do have 4GB on xp x86 and decide to change to xp x64, don't expect to see any real performance boost with this particular program. Although you should get a boost in other things.

Ofcourse it is. on the other hand, his series of core two duo isnt inthat sticky. Nor can he speak english very well. Maybe he didnt see the sticky.

This thread has also shed light on the fact that his cpu is bottlenecking his gpu. Sometimes readinga sticky is great, in other cases, this thread helped himmore than reading the sticky could have.

Intel Core2 Duo E4400 Processor - 2.0GHz, 2MB Cache, 800MHz FSB, Allendale, Dual Core, Retail, Socket 775, BX80557E4400, Processor with Fan in Canada at TigerDirect.ca
thatwould be a core 2 duo e4400 :)

lol, i guess you're right.
i've had that happen to me, where i couldnt find the sticky that was right in front of my face. i had to private message a GM and they pointed it out to me xD.

bah, people should just use their ps2 (if they have one >_>) unless they like coding/testing or their ps2 just doesnt work (yea rite...). or if they just want to back their games up for whatever the reason =/. you know, its just so obvious like 90% of the time that the person wants to play a game he doesnt own.
