Have you got The Playa as well at Divx.com? Try running the file with it instead of using WMP.

I tired the playa already.

It can play the video in playa so I know that there's nothing wrong with the video format.

Though if I move the slider to a particular scene the playa freezes and crashes.

If find that playa is unstable.

Is there any other good Divx player other than playa?

No, the problem is very bound to really be on the video file. Note that if you download a divx file partially, The Playa can still read and Play, but WMP cannot, giving am error message which says the file is a wrong format for the player. Is that what happens to you?

There is another fairly decent player called G... G... G-something (can't remember if it is GVideo, or GDivx - I think it's the latter). Not recomended if you want design, but it might play your video correctly.

it also depends on your hardware specs. maybe you have a slow comp.

Incomplete movies freeze when you reposition the slider. You have to either download the complete movie or edit the movie and make it complete (VirtualDub is a good program for editing divx movies). I don't think any player allows you to skip in incomplete movies.

RZetlin: You think that's bad? I downloaded over three hundred megs for a movie from a slow site, and it crashed without fail at the five minute mark. Bad downloads happen. You'll probably have to get it again.

I downloaded VirtualDub and I checked the video.

Yes, the video seems to be corrupted.

Frame 6723 to frame 6763 is unreadable.

I already tried to Rederive keyframe flags to repair the video, but I get an out of memory message. (This might be because the file is so large.)

Please I need some help on repairing the file.

Ryos did you try and download the same file again?

If you did, did the file worked run properly the second time you download it?

No. I only wanted it because I might have been able to use it for a presentation a couple days later. I'll wait now until Mangle releases it and see what the reviews say.
