It is just how much 24 bit z buffer can render ffxii with dx9. But can anyone confirm the slowdown?

No slow down for me with FFxII. (French version, DX9 Win XP, pixel shader 3, 1024x1024 res, log z on, alpha correction on, no interlacing). Often full speed (50 fps).

Happy new year by the way. "Bravo" for the great work.

The graphic problem with Naruto Shippuuden Narutimare Accel 2
texture on some characters is broken.(black trinagles)

There is the .gs

Checked a few .gs:

- disgaea 1: text fixed
- ffxii: z fighting
- gdf: forgot what is wrong with this, looks ok, hw/sw same.
- gt4: set brightness 0, no fix yet
- hotshotstennis: lots of bad input data, could be a pcsx2 error
- manhunt2: crazy pproc effect, removed.
- metal slug 6: the red component of the vertices is simply set to 0, no idea what could be wrong, menu looks ok, but I'm not sure.
- rumble roses: skull heads fixed
- soul calibur 2: selecting necrid bad with sw/hw, no idea.
- soul reaver 2: texture fixed.
- spectral force chronicles: can't really see the "environment bugs", fps at 30, no counter is too high though.
- street figher ex: spikey polygon syndrome.
- suikoden3: z fighting, spikey shadows
- super robot taisen ... + spectral vs generation: sw/hw both wrong, something is very broken with these, can't tell yet.
- tekken 4: frame buffer and depth at the same address, but it masks the output to only write one at a time, weird (1st .gs, the second is just a pixel center problem as I see).
- the bouncer: can't see any graphical errors.
Unfortunately bugs with texts in disgaea, with custom res, still exist in 1.5. Anyway, I can live with it.:p

Ops.:p K, it's not THAT big prob - graphic looks so awesome with custom res that, yea it doesn't really matter. Thanks for fast reply:p

Note: Uh-huh 45-47 fps in licences board in FF XII:p

Well, I made some tests with Manhunt 2. I decided to find maximum resolution which won't cause crash after first FMV. Internal resolition of first FMV is 640x360, in-game - 640x510. At first I decided to find maximal Y resolution. It is 736. With 737 game crashes. then I decided to check one thing - I made save in-game, set 2048 Y resolution and loaded this save till first FMV didn't end. Everything was fine! So it looks like if we just have to skip it somehow and we will be able to use every resolution we want. I decided to make a patch, but also decided to check maximum X resolution at first. Argh, it's 512. Even setting 513 gives me a crash. Then I decided to do the same trick as before, set X res. to 2048 and made a quick load. Fine! So the problem is in first FMV 9or maybe all FMVs :D who knows)! I'll try to make a patch now anw will tell you about the results here.
BTW, Gabest, just wondering, if you already have a look on goW2's dump, is it emu or plugin problem?

This is really a mess, could be bad data. I can't see one drawing step rendered correctly even in sw mode, except the final osd (health bar).
Sorry man my fault just captured data from battle vs Ares(not the best choise)
rewrote now. Capture from much friendly place(from first location)

EDIT: Argh.. With 2048x2048 I got a crash in-game after ~10 seconds. But atleast in native everything is OK now.

how can i run the configuration window via command???

i mean something like: "rundll32 gsdx.dll,GSconfigure"

does that work?

nevermind, figured it out :p
"rundll32 gsdx.dll,GSconfigure"

I can't remove it from GT4 fully, because then the menu breaks. Brightness 0 fixes it always. I also looked GDF and couldn't see any problems, but now that you quoted yourself I see it is the blurriness.
Just tried GT4 with GSdx 0.1.5 and only half the screen is displayed with 1080i mode (576x960). 1080i worked fine with GSdx 0.1.1.

Setting the brightness to 0 did fix the in-game display though so thanks for that tip! :thumb:

can you explain me how I must use NLoop Hack? On, Auto or Off? In auto-mode, I see that the emulatore crashes sometimes with last 2-3 releases :(
Use Auto mode if you want to play FFX and other games
If your FFX version don't support Auto mode turn it ON but in this
mode other games will crush (maybe) If other game crush use Auto mode
or turn it OFF.
It's siimple:)

For what version your patch is (U) or (E)?

Some tips about Manhunt 2: with native resolution there will be missing textures on your enemies. Enabling logarithmic z fixes it but adds some stripes on the walls (sometimes). Setting int. res. to 1024x1024 fixes missing textures on charecters so there is no need to use logarithmic z anymore. BUT I got a crash after around 10 minutes of playing. Gonna check native + logarithmic z.

BTW, disabling noise in video options gives a little fps boost
