Does anyone here use Zelda Classic/has heard of it? If you don't know what it is, head over to Zelda Classic.com and go to the 'What is ZC?' section(on the left side). It's basically a built-from-scratch program that is an exact replica of The Legend of Zelda, but more. It comes with a program that allows you to make your own Zelda quests. If you have made a quest using it's packaged quest-making program ZQuest, you can then submit it to Zelda Classic.com, where other people can download it. So you can make your own quest and play other people's as well. There is compatibility with more advanced/graphically better tile sets too. You could make a quest using Minish Cap graphics if you wanted. One quest that I particularly like is A Link to the Heavens, which you should be able to find on Zelda Classic.com on the right side, 3rd or 4th one down.
Here is a quest I've been working on with the program, called Death Mountain Trail, which revolves around climbing Death Mountain. Here is a post by me copied from the Zelda Classic forums:
You can find the post, and discussion that others have made on it, here.-----------------
Story
-----------------
Ganon has been a relatively small threat for a short time now in Hyrule since Link last defeated him. But recently him and his minions have been on an uprise. The local wildlife notices this recent uprising and begins to stir. Eventually the local creatures, once kind and even sophisticated, began to turn into ravaging beasts. With creatures attacking the town and Ganon's army as well, the villagers of Kakariko need a hero's help. Ganon knows of the power of the Hero's bloodline, and has fled to the summit of Death Mountain to escape danger, sending his army to defend the hillside. Now Link embarks on his longest journey yet, climbing the highest mountain in Hyrule to reach the ultimate evil...
The quest itself is not very far along, though I have some ideas straight and planned. As this is my first quest, I began it in the Classic tileset, though have already started a concurring version using the BS tileset.
I'm looking for people to design the dungeons for this game for me, as I've discovered that I have both problems and am not very skilled at, designing and drawing dungeons. Please post here or PM me if you are interested.
The idea revolves around climbing Death Mountain, with a basic design of a winding path, moving left and right along the length of the entire overworld, much like and elongated S shape.

Like I said, this is my first quest, and is not very far along and I am not the best with the BS graphics yet.
You can find a VERY early beta on my site, here.
Yes, you ride on Epona. But can you ride on Epona, or does it just follows you around?
Do you know what program was used to make that? Me and my friend started making an RPG board game, but work was extremely slow, and we were kind of designing it like a video game.majoras mask is pretty good, i still think OoT is the better of the two 64 zeldas though. majoras mask felt like one big sidequest.
btw if any of you are into the FF series, you should check out this RPG maker fan game. usually i avoid such things but this one is seriously well made.
funny thats how i felt about Wind Waker.majoras mask is pretty good, i still think OoT is the better of the two 64 zeldas though. majoras mask felt like one big sidequest.

its fairly simple, there is some scripting experience needed if you want to pull off some of the tricks that you will see in that FF EN game link i posted but for the most part its rather easy to use. keep in mind rpg maker 2k is a way outdated version of the rpg maker series, you might want to look into something more recent if you want something fancy. Is it easy to use? Harder than ZC?
