2005 is almost upon us.

What are your predictions for 2005?

My predictions:

On the world stage I see more turnmoil. As the conflicts between the countries grows more intense. I expect to see a nuke being used.

For America, there will be a new program that will lead millions of the youths to the millitary, but it will not be called the draft.

There will be another country military invasion.

PSP will beat out the Nintendo DS in unit of sales, but Nintendo DS will have the larger game library.

There will be a stock market correction.

A new techology will be released that will give the MPAA and RIAA something to cry about.

According to Murphy's law, if something is fine, it will soon get worse....

I have to agree with it :p

I see UN losing the last shreds of relevancy. Canada as well.

I expect liberals finding something new to whine about as Afaghanistan and now Iraq hold their elections. Maybe global warming. That seems like it'll be new 'in' thing.

Harry Potter 6 will break records worldwide. Gotta love Potter.

Less and less people will actually watch the news and instead turn to the internet.

And Ngemu will remain the great place it always was. :)

Btw, what's a stock market correction?

every thing Narrrf said. on top of france also losing relevancy
The E.U. might break up due to internal fighting between nations.
Any country that signed the Kyoto Protocal will go broke.
I should also hope there will be some big sexual scandle....
IPv6 will start catching on around the world
Only a shadow of a hope that hippies and goth will be run over by some fast moving object
I forsee sadam's death and usama's capture, perhaps his death in a shootout?
Perhaps as RZ said nukes being used. but not by usa but by N.Korea against japan.
6-way talks with n. korea will go down the **** hole.

Linuz might finally fix VU?

I don't have much predictions... most of the things happened this year I could've never predicted.
But, gaming wise...yes, I think the PSP will actually lead over the DS, but the GBA will still be going strong.

Given I've lost 3 persons in my familly this year, it barely can't get any worse.

My prediction : EA will become a monopoly and the level of quality of games will go down again (that's called the EA effect, 90% of their games are massive ****s)

My life will more than likely stay about the same. Seeing as i'm still a "kid" i really don't care nor keep up with politics because nothing i do or think about them can change the outcome of things, so i just live with whatever may come my way. I'm a pretty mellow person and nothing really ever drastically changes for me, so the last option it is.

Well for me it can only get better. Changed my job this year for what i thought was a better one but it turned out to be worse. Now im back in my old job so things have started to get better. I had an operation this year after apendicitus so i hope my health improves!!!

As far as technology goes, PSP will kick arse! GBA is dead, DS is dead on arrival!

PCSX2 will kick even more arse... and I hope that the UAE port to Pocket PC takes off.

Market Correction: this occurs when the market drops at least 10% from its most recent high.

Here are more predictions:

The Canadian dollar will be worth more than the American dollar. I would say 1.00=0.50.

Chankast will release a new version soon.

A playable PS2 emulator will arrive next year.

I don't think 2005 will turn out good at all. IMO, 2004 was a great year, but 2005 isn't going to be. Either the nukes og asteroids or whatever that comes, something will make 2005 into a bad year. I don't believe in the so-called "experts" that says 2005 will be a lot better than 2004, no matter what. I think 2005 will bring some kind of disaster. We've got a taste of it already, the big wave over at the east...
Anyway, happy new year everyone. :)

I predict with PSP and DS coming out, this year will turn out better because there will be new and better games in the future.
