Honestly, I have everything I want. I could use a new GPU maybe, but I'm waiting for the new ones. Other than that, maybe more hard drive space (already have four though)? Better RAM? A second monitor (would need a new desk)?

I don't know which is the fastest cpu but I want that
and I also want the ati 4870 card, its the fastest graphics card right?
Also a tablet pc so that I can draw on screen
a color scanner will also be good
Oh nearly forgot, one big 40" monitor or LCD tv on which I can play games and watch movies.
Rest you can copy from Fadingz's list ":p

Dream that my current rig never die.

8" screen, 1600 x 768 resolution.
2GB of DDR2 mobile RAM
Intel Atom N280.
GeForce 9400m
8.4" screen bezel, no need for a webcam, no need for GPS, no need for Bluetooth, ultra-thin touchscreen, ultra-thin keyboard (foldable), Polymer Li-On 16000mAh battery. (over 12 hours of power)

And I'm satisfied. :p

Seriously, though. A way to reduce the power consumption of my current PC without buying new components altogether, or reducing performance would be much more appreciated.

Topics like this are pointless.
Those that have good systems will be content (like me) and those that don't will simply list the best there is in most cases (which is a definite set of components rather than an opinion).

I would not mind replacing my Audigy Value with a Xonar though, and also replacing my GTX260 with the Core216 version.

I wouldn't say totally pointless......If I had 10,000 right now I could have this system built by Monday.....

Naw, I'm always looking to aim higher....I like Fadinz idea....it kind of opens new pathways in the brain.....if yoou believe in that....

At least that's what I hope.......

BTW I thing Apple Computer now has something that has like 32 GB Ram to start with.....

Congratulations for proving why threads like this are pointless...

Hey, at least it's hardware related....right???????

You gotta point though, I AM happy with my system....but you can always do better......

The reason why it's pointless is because you listed the best components possible at this stage...thus everybody with a weak system would obviously want exactly what you just listed (perhaps with a different cooler or less Writers, but still pretty much the same)....

Threads like this might as well be called "Do you want the best there is? Yes or No?"

These threads aren't pointless so long as people state what their goals are, and not their dream systems.

Right now, what I'd love to own is:
Decently OC-able AM3motherboard
Phenom II X4 940
Nvidia GTX260 (in dream setup, 2 of them)
64Gb Intel X25-M
750GB random silent HD
CoolerMaster Cosmos-S
Custom watercooling
26" Dell monitor
750W Silent Power PSU

What if we changed the question? Which would you rather have:
A) The best computer $13,000 can buy
B) The best computer $3,000 can buy and $10,000 in your pocket.

I'd be very surprised if (B) wasn't the winner.

Also, I'm sure IBM would be happy to sell you a Blue Gene system, assuming you have the $100 million for it. ;)

And you have some strange conditions too. 'coupon'? for a free $13,000 computer ?! As if any such thing ever existed. And the 'public market' is more than just NewEgg. I suppose you meant 'publicly advertised for retail sale.'
