Yet another FF9 problem...

Howdy! After a few minutes of playing through FF9, a really annoying music tone starts to play in the background. The music just holds that tone for a really long time, and even plays it in the background of regular music. Any help would be appreciated!

Heres my plugin info (even though you probably won't need it. Seeing as how this is a sound problem)

ePSXe SPU core 1.5.2.
Using Eternal 1.4.1 (not lite!!),
set to SPUasync, Smooth with a buffer of 32.
no dont use smooth, use Thread
