on my computer i have both systems running, but EpsxE is terribly slow on WinXP. it takes 5 minutes to load final Fantasy 9 on WinXP and then i mean only the menu. So i have win98 just for EpsxE. but why is it so slow? what can i do to change that. i have an AMD500 mhz. is that it? or is it something in the program that i have to change?

Due to a bug in the current version of epsxe (1.4) if your OS is Win 2K/XP then load times will be very slow if you use an external plugin with cdda switched on. Either switch it off or use the internal plugin

If you're using a plug-in other than the internal cd-rom plug-in make sure you have cdda audio disabled. Check Pete's readme for an explanation of why.
