Well if he can't write what he needs in english, he should look for help somewhere else.
This is a english only forum.
I could've done that too...

Its an English speaking forum, but i see no reason for not helping a user in their native tongue as long as a equivalent english translation is also provided.

It's probably one of these 2 things:

"How do I get XP in Japanese?"
Answer:
You don't. Only Vista can change the actual language, Vista Ultimate at that. Or Windows 7 Ultimate.

There are certain things for XP called "MUI Packs" though, but even that won't really work well, since they're usually for older versions of XP. If you really want to change the language then you should just obtain the official Windows in that language and reinstall your OS with that.

"I changed my system locale to Japanese"
Answer:
Control Panel, Regional & Language Settings, Advanced Tab.
Under the [Language for non-Unicode programs section], select the language you want from the drop down menu.

I want everything to be seen on Japanese menus. etc:???:
Go to control panel =>Date, Time, Language, and Regional Options(if you have the classic control panel view skip this step)=>Regional and Language Options, first go to the Language Tab, make sure the checkbox for "Install files for East Asian Languages" is checked and click apply, after that go to the Advanced tab, make sure that under "Code page conversion tables" :10001 (MAC-Japanese)" is checked, after that make sure that in the drop down list under "Language for non-Unicode programs" japanese is selected. After this you'll have no more problems with japanese games or text.

He wants his Windows XP in Japanese, not the the language settings.
Are you blind ? you can see he has a hard time with english but with a little focus you can understand what he wants:

I have xp in Spanish and I want to switch to Japanese

tengo xp en español y lo quiero cambiar a japones

to play a game in Japanese
and sorry for bad english
Translation: he has his windows xp currently set to spanish unicode and wants to switch his unicode so that it accepts japanese unicode so that his game displays correct kanji's.

totally agree with this, but to avoid a probably ban i'll write all in english

to answering the question, AFAIK windows xp pro has MUI packs (to change langs), i use it one time to change the system language from english to spanish in my sister's laptop, the translation wasnt 100% perfect (some menus and other little things remain in english) but do the job very well

here are some info (in spanish)

http://blog.neuronaltraining.net/?p=3196

So you CAN change it (you must have windows xp professional with sp2 or sp3), i dont know how well will work with japanese, but from english to spanish works fine

EDIT: damn!! supposedly it only works if the translation goes from english to another lang =(
