I'm having problems running xenosaga 1. During movies and menus it is at 60fps but when "in game" (sorry i dunno what to call it) it drops to 12fps.

I'm using 0.9.6 , gsdx 890 sse2 0.1.14. My specs are: e8200 @ 2.66, 2GB RAM, 9600GT 512MB, WinXP Directx9

Also, I cannot see any text during character conversation....only the box.

using latest pcsx2 & gsdx betas may help.

though, that's quite of an intensive game and you Cpu is quite weak for it;

I've heard this game gain substantial speed increase if you use dx10 gsdx (vista/7). Haven't tested it myself yet

What is the recommended cpu speed for this game? I saw someone posted a thread saying he used zerogs kosmos and got about 40+fps with specs a little bit lower than mine, unfortunately I forgot which post though.

Hmmm...Ive also heard of it...using dx10....unfortunately I have to use vista/7....Off Topic: Is vista/7 stable? Before I switch....
