Xenogears

After giving up playing Xenogears with ePSXe I decided to use VGS. BUT I still get the same problem with VGS as I got with ePSXe!! In the intro, when you get to the city and Rei says "Huff Huff Damn you!" or something I just get a completly black screen... The sound still plays fast and nice but I can't get past that point to even get to start playing the game!!
Anyone got any ideas about why it is like this for me?

sys specs:
pII 350 Mhz
Geforce 2 mx (32MB)
128 MB RAM
ORIGINAL CD AND ISO (using deamon tools) HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM!

Must be your cd. For me its perfect on vgs 1.4.1. (I heard it freezes in cd 2, but that didn't happened)

i just tried xenogears and i got past the intro without any problems. I'm using vgs 1.41 with no patches or gametext.

Miki - i found mine at Uniwide Las Piñas and RFC. I think you can still find it at Greenhills. Do you know where i can find ff9 that is not kalisto?

First of all it's not the right place

. I think our lovely admins will move this.
But anyway, press F7 (or was it F11?) before and after the flash back.

Heh, and two other things are 'special' about this thread:

1. It's really old
2. It seems that back in those days threads didn't get locked when someone asked for warez (referring to the person who doesn't want a Kalisto version of FF9)

wow, a 4 and a half year old thread revival. man, as we move into 2006, can you believe that people will be able to do FIVE YEAR OLD thread revivals? insane.

old thread revival, not to mention in the totally wrong section, with a fix that's already here, (which is F7 by the way, cloudvii).

cid: i think back then the place wasnt so tightly moderated. for example, you should see the administrator forum from 2001--wow, just wow. i wish i was an admin back then
