What do you all think is the best graphics setup to work with the game Xenogears?
(using Pete's OPENGL GPU)
what woudl ya'll suggest i configure it to? just curious..cause the screen goes black sometimes..lol...playign the intro...the title screen is black..and then when it starts scrolling allt eh text about the planet and all..black screen..but i hear the music..

my sys:
P3 866, 128mb ram, GeForce 256..um..thats all that matter's! lol


anyways...in short..what configure settings would ya suggest? and waht do ya think is the best sound plugin? using Iori's now..adn it works great..

also please note...that...the screen is black from title screen..i see the text "i am the alpha and the omega" but that is it..then i randomly press the button for "x"...until i get to the batltle with fei and all the other gears...here are some screens..please note also that all the background textures are flashing...and ya can see the problems i am having..and after the little battle sequence..i hear the music change to i think "lahan"?
but the screen is black! same problem as earlier..but with different scene..and i can pause the game..lol..just balck screen though..

first set your cachingtype to something other besides 3.paletizzed because that doesn't work with the geforce.
( i use dynamic)

offscreen drawing to standard and deactive the special game fixes because you don't need them for xenogears.

I hope that helps, because after that you should have the same config which works for me

I cannot see ur pics but I can guess what is it.
When u see the "flash" in the village for example, enable the full vram primitives....
Slow, bad rendering but u see everything...

oh and for the info, I m playing Xenogears at the moment
I use iori spu 1.46 and sound is perfect (however there are small glitches: Bridge sound, flames sound also...just some XA ones in fact.)
I put the sound buffer lenght to 15, the xa buffer size to 65
and enable all except the real time cfg window.
If u want some video configuration, put ur system specs here.

update: sorry it seems i m blind after all^^

well i put it here, it works fine w/ me: (p3 733 128 mb of ram and gforce 256)

also, enable the framebuffer read in the special game fixes...
It s better for the transition screens.
and if it slows down too much, lower the resolution
