Argh!! I just beat that Redrum guy (not very hard, but took long as hell) and then of course, being the idiot I am, don't realize that the game crashes shortly after that point as Rico climbs out of the sewers. Could somebody please point me to a save right after you beat the Redrum guy, or even at the dorms (before speaking with Rico if possible, I don't know if its automatic or whatnot). Thanks in advance!

I suggest you use save state.
I think there are 4 save state slots.
Save one before, in the middle of the battle, and after.
See if that get any results.
