Anyone know a good configuration for this game? I've tried every GPU and every one gives me wierd graphical glitches that turn the screen entirely pink and flashes at some points.

The first time it happens is in the beginning before you see Fei fight the other Gear, and the second time (I can't move past this point) is where you go back to the village to find Dan after the Gears attack it. At least the first one went away after a while, but the second one stays. I think it's trying to emulate fire or something, but it's giving a reddish/pinkish glitch with flashes. Hard to describe...

Otherwise, the game emulates great. Any suggestions? I'm using an AMD 450 Mhz with 128 MB of RAM with a Voodoo Banshee BTW.

Some parts of Xenogears requires 'Full VRam Primitives', when using Pete's GPUs...

FYI, Xenogears crashes eventually in ePSXe, but it has been fixed in the next version..

Quick comment: It crashes when fighting Deus, but you CAN get past that point with some luck and a little help from savestates.

Play it in ePSXe, but do NOT use save-states. Just use memcards, so you CAN switch to VGS when you need to. The 3D graphics are well worth it.

VGS 1.4 crashes at Deus...HOWEVER, it crashes less often than the others. They ALL crash there. If you can manage to beat him down quick enough, you can get past the crash. Your best bet there is using VGS. Otherwise, yeah, VGS doesn't crash anywhere else.
