Xenogears config

No matter what i seem to do Xenogears will black out and all i can hear is music. From there it becomes unplayable. Heres my current config:

Petes OpenGL latest ver
Loris spu latest ver
PSX CDROM with ePSXe cdrom plugin

I was wondering if it may be time for some hardware upgrades... what do u think:

Pentium II 233mhz mmx
Hercules Geforce 2 MX
160 mb SDRAM
LG CDRW 8x4x32x
Sound Blaster 16 PCI

Upgrade the processor and the sound card....... to a at least 500mhz, and SBLive!
Here's my config... it works really, really well.

- 1280x1024 Fullscreen - Desktop changing [32 Bit]

Textures:
- R8G8A8A8
- Filtering: 4 - edge clamping supported
- Caching: 2 - 101 textures usable

Framerate:
- FPS limit: on
- Frame skipping: off
- FPS limit: Auto

Compatibility:
- Offscreen drawing: 2
- Framebuffer texture: 0
- Alpha multipass: on
- Mask bit: on
- Advanced blending: on (hardware)

Misc:
- Scanlines: off
- Line mode: off
- Unfiltered FB: off
- Dithering: off
- Full vram: on
- Game fixes: off [00000020]

DON'T get a SB live.....crappy card with high latency and bad drivers. Get a turtle beach or a SB 128.
I own a SBlive but I should say that gone are teh days where creative made the only acceptable sound cards =)
