Xbox problem

I havent the foggiest what causing this, it seems that KOTOR II Was really badly programed or something, because my xbox is definatly NOT agreeing with this game. its Slow, It has to read from the CDrom on almost Every other dialog, Plus the fact it just froze up on me on a load :( it was trying to auto save On Nar shaadaa

I was at the point after You Escape from the Jekk'Jekk Tarr bar and you have to sell T3 to Vogga the hutt. I got the id code transponders, it autosaves and fecks up my game Now im pritty much forced to start at the very beging of the Jekk'Jekk Tarr Insident

Yay i have a damaged save file (thank god for autos. to bad its only done every 15mins though) What sucks is that Halo 2 is starting to act up too, Really Really Slow Loading times.. is this one of those signs when your xbox is about to go south? I think i got one of the systems that first came out ( forgot what dvd drive it is) i really dont want to buy a new one but it looks like im gonna have to pritty soon, since its been scratching up alot of my dvd's too

One of friends had to send in his xbox twice to get it repaired. I think he had one of the first ones, too. I don't know what the problem is, but do you still have any kind of warranty on it? probably not.
Just me being a pedant, but I think the word you are looking for is woe (Misfortune; calamity) rather than Woos (To seek the affection of with intent to romance)

I can't say I've had this issue, but I have had issues with games loading up at all. When this happens I backup my saves and reinstall the bugger.

Considering the fact that 1. I opended it to fix the first problem. and 2. my stickers are gone, then that'll be no

feel better now? :p

Edit
damn it wont change, o well
It sounds like the hard driver might be going bad. I know that you can easily upgrade your xbox hard drive. A shop near where I live sells and installs new hard drives for the xbox.
Kane, I believe he meant 'woes' ;) :p

Hmmm sure sounds like your Xbox is going downhill. Well since you don't have a warranty, I don't think there is much you can do. Maybe ask over at Xbox scene ;) They are really knowledgable over there :)

Well the only reason why I opened it the first time is because My Xbox LCD started flashing Green/Red. I researched that and it ment that somethings not reciving power. Turns out the damn power cable leading from the xbox's mobo / CD drive got knocked out somehow (probley when i droped it :innocent: )

How could the hd be feckin up the cd drive?

i actualy did :innocent: damn my engrish is geting worse!!

nways, A warranty wouldnt do me any good anyway if a entire system needed to be replaced wouldnt it? , since i got these around the time it came out most warranties only last about 2 years.

Are you sure that it's reading from the dvd drive? In many games, the xbox loads the data from the dvd drive to the hard drive, and then reads the data from there. For example, maps in Halo are decompressed and loaded to the hard drive. The other reason I believe it might be a hard drive problem is that you said one of your saves was messed up.
Just a thought, but since you think it is a V1.0 Xbox, you may want to check to make sure the GPU fan is working...V1.0 has a tiny heatsink to fit the fan so it COULD, be overheating a little...

Well I dunno How KOTOR II does it, cause what caused the corruption was a grey screen when the whole deal froze in the middle of the process

IIRC didnt the 1.0's have overheating issues or was it just a bad dvd drive
I suggest checking out your DVD drive. The thompson drives are known to go bad (check on xbox scene to figure out which is which, thompson has 1 hole in the middle shaped like a U , or take it apart and look). My xbox has similar problems (not reading games at all, skips here and there etc.). Supposedly theres a tweak you can do that helps a lot, but after doing it, it really made things worse for me.
