Using ePSXe with valid .iso files on my hard drive works great, but once I used Alcohol 120% to burn the .iso's to CD-R, I no longer get XA sound. So the music during some video sequences is gone. Not the end of the world, but frustrating. I want to move the .iso's off my hard drive and onto CD-R, but not if I lose XA sound in the process.

I've tried burning in both DAO and Raw w/ sub-channel modes, but I get the same results. And yes, I've checked the "Play XA sound" option within ePSXe. I've also tried all the various sound and CD-Rom plugins, with the same results.

I wish I had a commercial PSX disc to play through ePSXe as a test, so I could narrow it down to either a burning issue, or an emulator issue.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

it's probably an ISO issue. you dont have any commercial PSX games....yet you have all these ISOs...suspicious, eh?

i'd make the suggestion to directly copy from PSX disc to CD (at a slow speed, too, like 4x).

anyway, this thread is now closed, citing the [rules]rules[/rules].
