The game plays perfectly EXCEPT when you press pause during a fight(the menu dissapears) and when you want to look at a picture in the unlocked area(they just blink when you look at them). Any ideas on how to fix this?!?

Are you using Pete's Plugins? If so, try messing with the "Offscreen Drawing" setting.

a bug in opengl and d3d plugin. there are other things missing, like loading screen. set offscreen drawing to extended to see(but buggy).
you can use software plugin if you want to see everything.
